10/5/2024 9:05am Seconded. The higher end Suntour goods are not to be overlooked from a price:performance:maintenance view.

9/29/2024 11:24pm Honestly don't care much what suspension layout is on my bike. Right now it happens to be VPP but I've been able to make any bike I've had in the last 7 or so years feel good and they've all been different. I have to say VPP took the least amount of tinkering to make it feel right but that's just to my own preferences, next bike will likely be single pivot because why the hell not.

9/28/2024 11:05pm Got to ride my countershox today for the first time: There‘s definitely a noticeable change in how the front end rides and tracks, not comparable to anything I could achieve with suspension setup or something else. The front wheel is in contact with the ground a lot more times and it takes the harsh impact out of big compressions. Only did a couple runs but keen to try it more over full days when arm pump becomes an issue. I want to try to make a mount for the rear swingarm to try how it feels on the unsprung mass...

9/26/2024 10:16am Speaking of Moto suspension on MTB's... Yamaha had some very trick looking KYB suspension on their EMTB at the Japan Mobility Show in 2023. I think I'll pass on the EPS power steering though.

9/26/2024 10:13am Dang that bike looks rad. I love the versatility of the three pivot locations if it really is as easy as just swapping a bolt trailside. Having the option to go from say 135-160mm vs 165-190mm of travel would be neat, too. I'll have to bug Chris to see about getting a test bike in the coming months...

9/26/2024 4:16am Looks like BOS Suspension is back on track with its MTB range: https://www.vojomag.com/news/bos-suspension-revient-avec-une-nouvelle-g… -> Idylle DH fork / Idylle SC (now named Kyll) (39mm stachions anyone?) / Deville + a DJ fork (the USD Obsys should be back too -oh word I'm hoping for a SC version) -> Void / Syors / Stoy shocks as well -> aaaannd surprise surprise, a 2 or 4-pot braking system is in the works (using shimano pads)

9/22/2024 2:02pm I know this site is more big bike centered but Corey Wallace (Kona endurance racer...) spotted on a proto g3 Hei-Hei. Proof that Kona is still alive!
