I used to run that setup 22/32T but then realised I didn't need the 32T over here in the Alps. I also came across a narrow wide 22T direct mount sram chainring on Aliexpress so now just run that. When I go ride somewhere flatter I put on a bigger chainring.

At this point I’m realizing that I’m most sensitive to bar height when descending and seat to grips when seated climbing. I would say for my local riding I prefer shorter wheelbase with a slacker seat tube angle. For dh I prefer both longer reach and wheelbase. Getting older and pickier sucks. Wish I could just hop on and swing off it without overthinking. Every once in a while I can and that keeps me going I guess.

The rider currently leading the Men’s elite Overall EDR is on a Belt driven high pivot gearbox bike. Interesting times we are in.

I am dead serious. To do all day riding without pushing on all the steep climbs you need some serious low gears. I have them on my Nicolai G1. Used to use a 2x crank on my old Pole Evolink without problems too.

It was fun being able to watch the race conclude, although it's a very different experience to a DH World Cup. With 1-minute gaps, you only get to see a fraction of the stage, and without split times against the overall standings it was hard to get a feel for exactly where the riders were stacking up as they were approaching the finish line, but overall I enjoyed the action. While my overall ebike experience is limited, it seems to me all the bikes I've ridden tend to work better spinning the legs as opposed to pushing the hard gears..

In 2018/2019, six of us bought Levos/Kenevos. We were all existing mountain bikers since the late 90s, we hardly used turbo because of range, none of us were on the heavier side, and we knew how to change gears. All motors failed.

I like to climb everything rather than push up so I am one of the few that cleans the ebike climbs hehe. Yeah very steep stuff around here.

I run a 22 front ring with a cut down 11 speed 15-51. Perfect for the terrain here in the French Alps.

For the first time ever, there will be a live broadcast from an Enduro World Cup - tune in on Sunday July 19 at 16h30 CET, 7h30am PST to follow the final stage of racing as it happens. I only pedal the TQ60 around for test rides when working on it as it's much too small for me and I don't want to reset the suspension. Power feels good, it's easy to get the bike computer to say it's assisting me right at 390watts plus my watts, and it always feels very natural and quiet to ride. In the low setting I have to use the screen to figure out if it's even assisting me or not. If it's turned off, you might as well be pedaling a bike. Can't tell at all except for the extra weight...

Nike made some flat pedal MTB shoes in the mid 2000s in collaboration with Andrew Shandro, the Air Whistler. They were basically stiff Nike SBs with pretty grippy (for the time) soles. Pretty cool. I had a pair. I had to do a deep stream crossing in Crested Butte, took them off, and tied them around my handlebars. One fell off and was quickly carried away. I think it was about 8 miles I had to do with one shoe back to the car. The remaining shoe lived in my trunk for a long time. Why? I don't know.

It's a shame there is no way to adjust the height of your handlebars.If you bike's stack is 10mm lower than you'd like you just have to put up with it.It's really unfortunate.
