While I'm here. Is it rude to spread my own rumors? Yesterday I released v2 Digit frames. I don't have a marketing plan so for now I've just posted a list of improvements here: digitbikes.com/blog/changeblog. I'm also going to start selling a frame-only option, and an aluminum wheel build.

This thread just spent how many pages arguing about why a racer is using this or that to silence their chainslap, put another feather in the cap of gearboxes for DH racing.

I can with 100% certainty say you're incorrect. "We're all better for it." is immeasurably short-sighted. I only typed that thing up because I didn't want the poster to feel like I was making a judgement on him (or anyone else). It costs me nothing to make sure the people who haven't earned any sort of negativity from me don't perceive any negativity from me towards them. For many of us life is hard. We're all humans and we all feel things differently based on what our hour/day/week/month/year has been like. I don't need to contribute negativity into anyone's life...

It's pretty hard for aerated dampers to start cavitating - once the oil is foamed up it gets more elastic and cushions the oil so you get less pressure drop behind the piston cause cavitation. It might happen in certain shocks if the air collects at the top, between main piston and base valve (and would develop a distinct pop or knock sound) but its pretty rare and would usually foam up enough to be spread around. The Float X2 almost has the opposite problem- the original valving meant they had very little pressure difference across the main piston and...

Without the lower guide the chain gets pretty slappy. He's been running this off and on for a bit. Benoit uses something similar, even with a lower guide.

I've rewatched the runs, Other than the drop, Asa is a smoooooth criminal, I watched a bruni run from last year and they are very similar. Jackson is quite active trying to generate speed due to him being a lil guy 🤣 We Gotta talk about how good Matt jones did and how much hes progressed, what about theo and his Stoke attitude... matt Has really generated a good following lately and watching him progress in Queenstown has been amazing to watch

He over cooked the top of the track, too. I have to imagine he could have won without that inside had he had a clean top section. I’m excited for the magic those two are going to display for years to come. Gracey is just shockingly cool as a cucumber on the most insane stuff. I think she’s in that same boat of providing magical riding for years to come.
