I would love to know the ratio of sales any one person has. I always saw the sponsored riders as the extension of the ethos of the brand. Sometimes it's conveyed clearly, sometimes not, this is the not instance. For me I don't get it at all, but that doesn't matter they are clearly not marketing to me. Where they lost the plot is riding away in jeans and a leather jacket. To do what, come right back? Driving around with matching yellow everything stunnin' on pepps is hardly different than, mountain bike persona & uniform of tacoma Santa Cruz/Yeti/Pivot oneUP rack (sorry past that van now), the point is they went to the trail head to ride bikes it didn't really matter what they could afford, remember when the bike on the back of the car was worth more than the car/truck that drove to the trailhead, I still abide by that marching order. You're not going to rockstar park your Maserati at a trailhead parking lot go ride for hours in a leather jacket and jeans & sit that mud sprayed ass back in the car with out a change of clothes. I'll talk shit even if it appears he can wheelie better than I can, that ad is stupid, then really stupid.

Thick skin! Thin Lips!
I can with 100% certainty say you're incorrect.
"We're all better for it." is immeasurably short-sighted.
I only typed that thing up because I didn't want the poster to feel like I was making a judgement on him (or anyone else). It costs me nothing to make sure the people who haven't earned any sort of negativity from me don't perceive any negativity from me towards them. For many of us life is hard. We're all humans and we all feel things differently based on what our hour/day/week/month/year has been like. I don't need to contribute negativity into anyone's life; most of us experience enough of it on a daily basis. I've seen something innocuous cause a huge problem before. "The straw that broke the camel's back" is a common saying for a reason.
Plus, it creates a hostile environment. The only people who enter a hostile environment and don't feel threatened are people who feel relatively protected in their everyday life. That cuts out a lot of folks who are already experiencing some amount of stress and instability in their lives. Mtb as a sport and as a positive thing in the world - which I believe it is - is absolutely made better by more people from varied backgrounds entering into it. Mtb as an industry should be looking to find ways to bring more people in and definitely not push more people out. Mtb should be an emotionally safe place. The attitude of "rip on people" is emotional napalm for the majority of the US population. Fuck all the way off with that shit.

Yeah I saw that too - I know the DH team (Oisin and Sian - And also Kolb) has been on their stuff for a while, I wonder if they decided to strike a deal with TRP/Fox for the enduro team now as well.
Wonder if Valli Höll will still be on Rockshox/sram stuff though? Dont think she's very keen on changing
Very interesting development. The team all switching to the same brands for components is likely because: 1. Cost: They were buying components from manufacturers rather than being sponsored. With the downturn in the bike industry, like all companies, they're trying to save a buck. They likely got sponsorships from these brands (free components and additional cash) which cuts their overhead.
1b. Cost: Less duplication of things like traveling to SRAM camp for Moi Moi to get his suspension dialed, then having to do a Fox camp for the other guys, etc. Less overall faff for the team dealing with 3 brands for every component.
2. Reduced hassel for mechanics. Everyone on same stuff. Same fluids, same replacement parts, etc Less space in trucks, etc. Simplification will also help reduce costs by not needing as much truck space/hands on deck in the pits, etc.

A good number of bike businesses do this by tracking sales with referral codes that their ambassadors give out. I bet if you interact with him he'll give you a referral code for a discount or a free upgrade at YT, and he'll get the credit for pushing you to buy a bike from them.
Shout out big privilege, he's a good dude. Always up at mountain creek, just a normal dude that likes riding bikes (with a rap career). I love that it he brings representation for a minority in our sport.
Historically, Jack Moir not been on rockshox/sram everything and maxxis has not ended up good. Hope he get's those boingers dialled. When Gwin came to intense and the team all swapped to Fox it seemed to unravel his mojo a bit. I hope I'm wrong and Mr Legs comes out swangin.

Jack posted a POV from his race at thredbo. TRP and fox. Fox dropper lever it looked bike, but has a transmission shifter.

Gotta rewind back to this. Wasn't SRAM Valli's largest source of income?

Big Bird or Pac-Man?
He smokes weed and rides his bike…
If I knew I could’ve got a sponsorship off it that I’d have tried a long time ago
More people should smoke weed in this industry. People would be less stuck up and probably calmer
AND fewer people on trail!
j/k...just a joke about motivation and the stereotype that weed detrimentally demotivates people. Weed isn't a problem, I like to make jokes.
This is Jimmy Chin shilling thousand dollar sweaters in GQ levels of bad.

Easy on the Big Bird. I've got those rights.

maybe we'll see ken roczen race MTB soon? https://www.vitalmtb.com/forums/hub/ken-roczen-racing-mountain-bikes
Where is Mr. Snuffleupagus?

Did anyone else see Vergier's IG story where he was still riding his Trek???
Jack posted a POV from his race at thredbo. TRP and fox. Fox dropper lever it looked bike, but has a transmission shifter.
Lily Boucher off Rocky and switching focus from enduro to XC
I would bet money kenda the reason for his bad season, if you know what I mean
This was from La Thuile track preview which was filmed last year when he was still on Trek...
Every time a kenda tire goes on a rim, a racer loses their wings...
The other site had a 'blind' tyre test video where they compare all the Assegai type tyres, the Kenda did better than they and I expected.
Brown envelope?
Paying to come mid pack in a group test doesn't seem like good business to me. Have a watch and make your own conclusions though.
But it would be blindingly obvious if they finished too high….
Birds the word
Gotta rewind back to this. Wasn't SRAM Valli's largest source of income?
From the bike check the other site did at Hardline it looks like she is on SRAM for 2025.
dante won fontucky on an intense this weekend
