What do you mean baby a long travel rig? Have you seen what material gravity race bikes have been made from for the last........10 years? I've seen more catastrophically broken alloy bikes in that time, and Pivot/Santa Cruz customers just plain don't want Aluminium anyway

100% - companies never seem interested in putting together that kind of documentation, and the people who would know it are all locked in a cave and not allowed to communicate with the outside world! Every now and then I find a bike brand which has that info easily accessible but it feels pretty few and far between 🥲

They have a ~5mm tall rubber bumper which will be very hard to compress the whole way, especially by hand

Not sure it has been talked about before but listening to Needles podcast with Sam Blenkinsop and he said Fox was working on a gearbox. Could be an interesting addition to the market.

Some mixed responses here. I called Fox sales this morning and they also said they were not backwards compatible. Then someone on pinkbike commented that they work for Fox and say that they are.
