I am really drawn to zero protection ( ! ) and I enjoy the long hotseat sessions (they’re rare) but I have to agree this idea got an audible “i don’t hate it” from me when I heard it. I don’t think the current setup is bad but I’m pretty into DH racing. If the word is it’d make for a more compelling story to more people I WILL ALLOW IT. Also: if you’re gonna be the guy who signs the decree banning jr women from hitting a jump, I’m gonna need to see footage of you jumping it.

If you had asked me a couple of weeks ago, "What are the chances you buy a Yeti in the next 6 months?" I would have said 0%. Today, 80%.

I'm definitely in the slack head angle, long chainstays crowd for enduro bikes. But really pretty much every category of bike my tastes vary. But I'd argue geo on a well constructed frame is going to make a bigger factor in your riding experience than kinematics, suspension design, or even your choice of components besides your cockpit (which effects your bikes geo).

Frame protection is dangerously close to the realm of VCR rewinders. Precious collector business, to be avoided. If your favorite riders have a side gig selling their own versions you are allowed to buy it, but you can’t call let moneybros convince you to call lawyerbros over it. Not chill. Do a vigilante Marshguard reparations campaign first, at least… RideWrap loses in the court of cmon man

Excuse my French, but could we fucking please stop calling bikes "analog", "acoustic", or -the worst I've heard- "bio"? Bikes are bikes. Ebikes are something else. Now get off my fucking lawn you punks!

Hoping the vital pit bits is Spec doing proto hillbilly radial. That and the cannibal in radial would rip, but radial hillbilly is first on my wish list.

Angel gets a paycheck, gets to keep racing, and I would imagine helps with developing the next Aventon ebike. What's the problem?

It baffles me that the poles aren't colour coded. Stay left of colour A, right of colour B and (optional) colour C denotes a track split for an alternative line. What am I missing? Doing so would greatly assist the viewers, too.

Is that possibly a radial Hillbilly the spec team gets to ride for a bit before they let us plebes have it? That tire would crush for PNW winters.

ethirteen has a 27.5" HD driver Sidekick rear wheel on sale for $360 USD. Don't know what that works out to in Canada after currency conversion, shipping, and possible tariffs. If you're hard on wheels it's also 32 spoke, which I like: https://www.ethirteen.com/products/grappler-sidekick-flux-aluminum-gr-r…

Shoot, I see that link was for an XD driver. This is again an XD driver, but $900 for this wheelset is a pretty good deal these deals without a sale. https://www.commencal.com/ca/en/bundle%20components%20wheels/A24PKDTEX5…

I've bought a number of cheap 27.5 completes recently. To be clear, no idea on availability in Canada; I'm just anecdotally mentioning what I found as all my shit is 27.5 and I like to keep cheap spare wheels around and mount and try different tires and generally light money on fire. But I digress. I just looked around and...

I would much rather have him be the guy doing trackside interviews before race , during race. I think his personality lends to that type or role better than talking about what he sees on a screen. I might watch the pre race if that was the case.

I agree with the hot take because the Status you’re talking about is a complete bike where the Torrent frame only is $3k. The TR11 frame is $400 cheaper with much more adjustment and a spot for a water bottle. (Which any non-race, park bike should have) Im not falling for Norco trying to gaslight us with no adjustability as a feature, especially if they’re charging more than the competition. Many people have flip chips and headset cups they never touch, and that’s fine they don’t subtract anything from the ride experience for them. For us nerds (target market of...
