As seen in pit bits video. Mondraker now mounts to rear triangle, not lower link. It has adjustable rear triangle plates for stiffness and bolt in BB bracket. Even though it looks like the old frame, I bet it ride’s completely different!

The next sentence literally says "On Sunday, July 30th, we received the news that National Team athlete Magnus White was struck by a car on a bike ride in his home of Boulder, Colorado."

Completely unreasonable reaction from you. You can hate USAC for anything else. A young man lost his life & they are NOT professional journalists. They are cycling federation. Issuing a 1 sentence notice to the cycling community is all their only responsibility. If you turn corners and find problems, it might be you that's causing them. That's aimed at me too.

Yeah noticed the same thing when watching it. The track itself looks good and better than it has been but looks like a lot of the opportunity for line choice has gone.

These kind of covers are widespread now and they are eye-catching, and I think that's what their purpose is. Any thoughts on the shock being mounted on the rear triangle and side-loads?

Because when you use a short stroke shock on a long travel bike, you need very high spring rates (either from a coil or air shock) for typical sag. When I put a Cascade link on my Levo (55mm stroke), it went up from 150mm travel to 162mm, and required me to go up 75# in spring rate on my coil shock to get the same sag. I don't recall what my air pressure was before, but with an air shock I'm now at 215 psi for a 170 lb rider. If I was a typical fatass ebike rider, I'd...

A shorter shock for a given travel means a higher (overall) leverage ratio. A higher leverage ratio requires a stiffer spring (coil or air, so higher pressure with an air spring) to provide the same force (support) at the rear wheel. With a short shock heavier riders can fall outside the pressure limits to reach the desired force at the wheel.

probably high pivot with an idler, lower mounted shock? Rocky Mountain rarely comes out with "crazy" or radical, groundbreaking stuff so I'm curious haha

Hey Jesse, I know you're a trained engineer and you're probably smarter than me and work for SRAM and I'm just some guy, but I've read that the SRAM Transmission does not use electronics to sense the shift gates in the cassette in order to sync the derailleur movements to match in time. Instead, the shift movement of the derailleur cage is instantaneous when you hit the button, and the delay you observe is from the chain waiting for a shift gate in the cassette to travel through the gate and change gears. The pronounced shift gates in the cassette...

Srams' UDH spec models include a cable stop on the "Full mount" Model. Does this mean mechanical Transmission? https://www.universalderailleurhanger.com/

We saw this yesterday. So damned awful. He was leaving for Scotland in just a few days. So crazy and heartbreaking. As the father of a teen rider, I can't imagine what his family is going through, and his teammates and coaches as well.

Not sure what the ideal number for the women is based on current entries especially when you consider that 1/3 of the field is protected. That said at VDS there was 38 female entires going for 15 semi final spots so roughly 45 percent of the field qualified for semis compared to 186 men going for 60 slots - 33% of the men qualified.

I’m pretty sure the eventual goal is 20 women and 20 men. With the semifinal format I think 10 women is actually a pretty good number for the moment. (5th place in women’s is often much further off the winning time than 15th in men’s). But with all these fast up and coming women who are going to hit the scene in the next 5 years they will need to expand the number of women in finals for sure. I know semis is pretty contested. But I think it does offer a lot in both women’s and men’s to keep...
