7/24/2023 10:06am Anyone know how bad Finn's injury is? He's one of the top dogs now, shame if he can't race World Champs again

7/23/2023 11:19am dante silva with a pinned ONE LAP on 1199 below and i asked rob warner if hardline and 1199 were comparable in the gnar factor. he was nice enough to write back saying, "hardline is totally different really, and the natural bits are way harder than 1199, but 1199 may be the best DH track i've ever seen. it's got everything." FWIW, dante apparently said 1199 "is terrifying". i'll go back to my internet hole : )

7/23/2023 11:17am Track looks sick! Doesn't look incredibly hard to ride but racing it?! The fitness required to ride that top to bottom at race pace, insane. Looks punishing and it's going to get so torn up.

7/23/2023 11:10am measure fork sag 3 times in 3 minutes and you will get 3 different measurements. It's a reference point at best, but the best reference of all is a digital shock pump cut the thing off, trust me, it will eliminate a form of anxiety from your life.

7/20/2023 12:10pm Had the opportunity to ride 1199, got some exclusive access because of a friend. I have never ridden hardline but I’m 100% certain 1199 is not even in the same league of gnar. We hit all the features. Found the second ladder drop to be harsh, and had to pull to get the triple after the first ladder drop. IMO the trail feels like a solid double black with a couple solid sends. Really really fun trail though. I hope they open it to the public. Whistler needs this trail

7/20/2023 9:58am That looked pretty terrible. * one long line section with no other lines for a very very long time from the start * no rocks, roots, nothing, not a simple bit of a technical terrain (yes, at the bottom it was steep and there were jumps) * off cambers would most likely not allow for a race if rainy conditions the way they placed the track there But on the other hand that track ticks all the boxes for the new UCI format, especially for broadcast * full access to the track since it is on an open hill *...

7/20/2023 9:52am Seems an odd choice to pick some with trail casings and others with DH and then mark them on side wall support? the Magic mary should of been a Super gravity.

7/17/2023 1:55pm I marshalled M2 at the chicane to log drop all weekend & would love to have set up my GoPro & done a line comparison there. Pinkerton & Medcalf ran trains together non-stop and were hitting an inside rock tip to avoid the off camber chicane as opposed to the Pro class most all running the wide line. I would be willing to put money on that 1.3 seconds all being that line choice. Swing wide, drift the edge of traction and then line up to hop a rock hole, down the back side of the rocks and off the...

7/16/2023 9:25pm I think they canceled the race to save BK's life. Did you hear the wind gusts at the top before he dropped in? Anyone who's jonesing so hard to win that they'll hit a 90 foot gap in a 20 mph cross wind (and then does it, successfully) deserves their medal.

7/16/2023 9:24pm Hardline is somewhat invite only is it not? Or at least choice riders. No Jr racers and not a couple hundred people on track, and you know what your signing up for with hardline, kind of like Rampage which also has death at every corner. World cup has Jr racers, hundreds of people on track over the weekend and less time to pick apart and practice so shouldn't they be held to a higher standard of safety and course design? It's the top tier of the sport and it should be treated as such. Going back a few years, would...

7/16/2023 9:23pm It's too bad Hardline had to be canceled, but I am thankful for the entertainment provided by the rider made content. Why is it that Hardline escapes all the safety criticisms from the riders that the Work Cup events receive? Not one tree pad in site. No safety netting. B-Zone is typically instant death from top to bottom. And the speeds have to be utterly insane to clear those gaps.

7/12/2023 8:13am Commenting on a few posts above: -Whistler has stated numerous times that they wanted to build a 'world cup track'. And people have mentioned 'someday' they want to have a race there, etc. In the past, Whistler never had a world cup DH track, which is another reason they could have never even had a world cup. Everyone kept saying for years they should have an event, but on what track?? The Canadian Open course was OK but far from 'world cup' especially if it had Whistler's name on it. Now they have the track. -Yes, if they hosted a...
