12/9/2023 1:46pm My ebike came with 11 speed 11-42, which is all the range I need, but I'm always double shifting up and down, and the 11T wears out first. I would like 8 speed 11-42 with replaceable 11T, and a nice strong 8 speed chain and rear mech. Isn't this what Zee and Saint should be, with a short cage mech and 11-25 cassette for Race, and a mid cage and 11-42 cassette for Park/Ebike?

12/9/2023 1:42pm Would also argue Jackson isn't the first "manicured", Bruni and Vergier were raised together by their dads who were themselves world class riders. They were pretty much full time MTB all their lives. Similar story for Daprela, except it was his godfather, Nico Vouilloz that would drive him to events and shout advice from the side of the track.

12/8/2023 1:45pm Lots of love and expectations for Jackson Goldstone in this forum; and he truly deserves it too. But let's not forget that Jordan Williams is also a very talented young rider (won his debut race in elites on a NEW bike), is on a damn good team, and nearly beat Goldstone to the jr overall last year.

12/8/2023 1:44pm I left out Bruni. He's damn near boring, but only because he's the DH version of a ski racer. Methodical. Tucked. Shaved visor. Yoga pants. Wind tunnel dynamics. The Alien influence that wins races but at the same time bugs the shlt out of the moto purist in me. He's so mute, steady & damn near inanimate on course, I don't like watching him. But...that's the French aerodynamics & efficiencies...would he have lost a bunch of races if he was forced to wear a full size visor & not get $1000 ski jump skinsuits meant to "look" like DH kit???

12/8/2023 1:44pm That's mostly a recency bias. Every single winner or near winner over the years has had something truly unique that makes them pop. Hill's turning speed & momentum generation The Alien's precision & technical perfection Lopes - highest RPM's on earth Palmer - so much like Hill but damn near boring to see in person it was so effortless Rennie - Power, technicality, precision & brute force. Could do BMX park moves on a DH Kovarik - Maximum power & speed. An NFL Safety on 2 wheels Gwin - Strength & an ability to turn on a dime GM -...

12/8/2023 12:35pm I'm currently running a Range that I've fitted a 200mm 40 to and removed a 2.5mm stroke spacer from the shock to get ~180mm travel out back. I'd also been planning to put a WRP link on over the winter. So I've been keen to get a look at how the Supernought stacks up to it. I figured I might as well put the comparison up here for others to take a look at as well. Leverage Ratio We can see that the Range has a leverage ratio starting at 3.24 and ending at 2.47. It would be 2.87 at...

12/8/2023 11:38am YT mill does free demos if you sign up early enough in San Clemente and is right next to dog park trails. https://us.yt-industries.com/demo-a-yt-bike/yt-mill-showrooms/ Also skypark at Santa's Village is an option if you don't mind also buying a bike park ticket. Same with Luiseno Bike park but that might be a far drive from LA.
