5/20/2024 1:17pm Dak tried to cut the one corner on an otherwise dry track that had a puddle of greasy mud on the inside... I wonder if this was a sneaky line he wasn't showing in practice and only attempted in finals? There didn't seem to be any tyre marks through the inside.

5/20/2024 1:14pm Jake and Dan just pulled the Dave Portnoy/Barstool move: sell out to the corporate goons at peak value, watch them tank the brand to within an inch of its life, then step in at the last minute to buy it back at pennies on the dollar. Kent is stoked to be rid of the sinking ship, while Jake and Dan now have the profits from the original sale to reinvest into the brand. Perfect! IMO they should bring back the 2000's styling and model names. Not many brands have been around long enough to go 'retro', but Kona has. Bring...

5/17/2024 1:20pm I actually wouldn't put it past Loic to have these buttons on his bike literally just to play mind games and make the other racers nervous. Like, buttons not even hooked up to anything, nothing special under that shock cover, all just to f*ck with people.

5/16/2024 9:30pm Exactly, but why? Pinkerton is also supposed to move to the moto helmet... is it proven to be safer than the mtb helmets Astars just launched? The SM10 is supposed to be ECE 22.06 certified, would be great to be able to buy one helmet for mx and mtb. Having serious concussions in the past, I'm constantly trying to find the safest domes on the market and nobody is testing them to their full potential.

5/14/2024 10:01am The shift that caused enduro to lose its magic and appeal to your average racer/fan seems to be a push from multiple high level race series to "legitimize" the discipline by removing aspects that made enduro uniquely enduro. Long days, chats on the transfers, community cohesion, privateer participation, accessible qualification, and affordable racing. ESO seems to think they can broadcast these races but still won't do it. If the races aren't broadcasted then why do the liason times need to be shorter? Why are many races staged entirely within bike parks? Why the same venues year to year? All of...

5/14/2024 9:59am I agree with you at the amateur level we should be pretty generous with transfers and make sure the non-pros have a good time first and foremost. However, call me a masochist but anytime I see the word "professional" or "elite" by a cycling category, I don't really expect to parse bro time into the equation. Its a race, and it should be a bit hard. As to transfers making you less a fan...how? Also, I mean this sincerely, but what would make you more a fan? I agree the EDR stuff is about as boring as a submarine race...

5/14/2024 9:58am From my POV, I like the move to tighter transfers. I've always felt we needed to put a little more emphasis on getting through the day a bit more swiftly and rewarding this kind of stamina a bit more. By not having any real pressure around the transfers, you create a culture of snail pacing the entire day to conserve energy, which I always hated. Made a long day even longer and didn't reward those who had the endurance all that much. Looking at results, it doesn't appear many men dropped out. The women's field looked to be a bit...

5/14/2024 9:56am Now I’m hearing that riders are even more pissed because they ended up not enforcing penalties for missing liaison cutoffs. So some people were redlining to make it. Others dropped out because it was too hard to make it. And at the end of the day, those who just pedaled leisurely and didn’t try to make the cutoffs suffered no penalty? Anyone have the story on this?

5/10/2024 10:42am 100% I would talk to the race promoter or commissioner. They're the one in charge of the race, let them figure all that crap out. Besides, this is the person the athlete should have reported things to in the first place. I wouldn't flame the athlete publicly right now, because the race organizer might end up doing that for you. Maybe if you report it and nothing happens, you can flame them later. That's a tough situation to be in. Not envious.

5/10/2024 10:41am Why is there no option about notifying the race commissioner in your poll? Assuming it's a small regional race? Contact the race officials with you info, let them confront the racer.
