Maybe it’s the angle of the picture, but with the speed they’ll be coming down on that ramp, the flat part before the takeoff looks like a weird flow breaker.

For me, the scaffold structure takes away from the rugged Welsh mountains bit of a shame to see it head this directions on track building

Looking at the new jump built for Hardline, is it time someone has an intervention with Gee?

seeing High engagement hubs on modern bikes always have me thinking 'why pay so much for fancy plush suspension & then Stiffen it with a high engagement hub' I went through a went stage of wheel building when i had my META'AM'22, Had high anti squat - I couldnt understand why my bike felt so terrible through the fast rough compared to the same bike my friend had(different wheels) i built some nice I9 wheels and then a dtswiss 240 with 54t Took me untill i read DTswiss's website about pedal kick with high engagement and suspension/chain forces and for...

Would y'all want to see a 15-minute VitalMTB video with back-to-back testing on a section of brutal rocky chunder with different pedal kickback theories to see if the Ochain really works as advertised?

I have just done some experimenting on my Mondraker Summum (which has like 200% Anti-Squat) with a „freecoaster gear“. Replaced two cogs with some spacers on the cassette so you have a gear where the chain moving around has zero effect on the chainring. I actually noticed a massive difference in my feet and legs, you could really feel how much calmer you can stand and the rear end working much more freely/a lot less fatiguing.

I appreciate Elliot but the lines are sus unless Dak and Ronan have the same body measurements and the fact riders move so much on their bikes that they may never be in the exact same position in the same section run from run. He was a qb now he is an armchair qb

I think the most telling part of the video was the fact his actual bar height was he same as someone else on a GT...he's really just compensating for the strangely shirt stack on his mondraker. I feel his pain...my Knolly has an annoyingly short headtube.

Any of you moto guys compared/measured bar height to peg distance and compared it to bar height to pedal distance?

Dak’s run is a perfect example of why the 5 or more line spotters loic has is so important at this level.

Good list, and a few more (albeit minor): - Not talking about the splits until 10-20 seconds after they are on-screen - Show where we are in the running order (I saw it once, before the Dak's run "1 rider to go". Yeah, no sh*t). - Stop showing run times in green I don't mind paying if the product is good but it needs to 1. be easy and 2. not come bundled w/ a bunch of other crap I have zero interest in.

Reasons why Red Bull was better: 1) It was free and easy to view. 2) Because it was free more people watched it. 3) We saw more racing. Whilst the addition of Junior Finals coverage is a positive, the reduction to a 10 woman/30 man finals means we are now paying less race runs than ever before. 4) Red Bull's graphics were better. The virtual straight graphic was useful. The wiggly line graphic is pointless. 5) Some of the WBD camera position/type choices are terrible. The overhead drone shots at Ft William were like watching Google Maps. 6) Current coverage...

The best solution on the market atm for drivetrain durability seems like Shimano's 11spd linkglide system. A very robust cassette/chain/der solution. Know a few riders that had constant issues with 12spd dt's (either Sram or Shimano) on their ebikes and for a few months now no issues. In general it seems strange you see xx / xtr (and all 12 speed groups for that matter) on 22lbs xc race bikes and the same system on 50lbs e-enduro monsters...

Good eye. It's interesting because the same inside line that was slick and muddy in finals was the only dry section of the same section of the turn in his helmet cam from Quali's. Like the inside line got wet and everything else dried out. It was definitely hooking up in quali's based on his helmet cam.

Almost completely off topic, but had a solid chuckle this morning at Charlie predicting the Martin Maes situation a year ago lol. Was this already talked about? (Vital embed doesn't do time stamps so its at 19 minutes in exactly.)

Dak tried to cut the one corner on an otherwise dry track that had a puddle of greasy mud on the inside... I wonder if this was a sneaky line he wasn't showing in practice and only attempted in finals? There didn't seem to be any tyre marks through the inside.
