Local dealer said new Status is next, 2 models a 140mm and a 170mm. The 170mm is going to be dual crown compatible. Apparently, will be out in about 3 weeks. Pretty sure both will allow mechanical shifting too 😉

I heard from a source a UDH update is coming at some point, but thats it for a while. Last I spoke to a local spesh dealer they said they hadnt heard any whisper about a new Enduro, and the same dealer mentioned the new Stumpy 6 months in advance... I too had noticed the stock on the website slowly running down, no Sworks builds in Australia for a fair few months and only 2 models and the sworks frame in 1 size. I'm not sure what they are getting at, fingers crossed something is gunna sneak up on us...

It doesn't look like it has much seat post insertion available and the headtube looks to be a ZS56/ZS56 more commonly seen on proper DH bike. Can't find the picture of the new spicy but I would think the shock sits lower to make more space for the dropper which could be done with a different upper linkage if they really share the same frame.

Can I just interject... It scarcely matters how good the Stumpjumper's new suspension is when they want AU$8900 for a Rhythm fork, a Performance shock and whatever we're calling that OEM Transmission (NX?) Righto please continue dunking on the marketing.

One of the mechanics was rebuilding his wheel using the park tool video where they tell you to put the tape on as a "reference spoke".

At this point I think Loic's mechanic is just finding new ways to troll us bike nerds.

Another thought on Flight Attendant: by putting FA on World Cup DH bikes, they're facing the ultimate programming and hardware challenge. I think there's actually a lot of trickle down benefit from putting FA on Luca Shaw's bike, Troys, Vali's, etc. Because of the speeds and forces at play, they're getting real world race data that's much more violent then XC or even Enduro, and being forced to refine their programming and sensors to determine what's essential, what's unhelpful, and what's possible. If SRAM can make it work there, it can kinda work anywhere. This is of course assuming they're...

Wild to me sometimes how "matter of fact statements" come about based on very little (im making an assumption here) Bryn Atkinson (DH athlete) has one of the coolest press videos for the Norco Optic. Matt Hunter (freeride athlete) has a great Spesh video on the old Stumpy) Almost makes sense to do some filmimg with Loic on the new Stumpy, to highlight its descending abilities (especially if there are plans to shelve the EVO model). Not sure it makes any more sense for Bruni to film on the Enduro than the Stumpy. Bruni could be filming for a segment...

least conspicuous way to say „hey look we’re riding proto rims (which have a massive flat spot at 9:10 o'clock)" Can be conspicuous some of the time, just not all the time.

Prevents others from finding out the outer shape of them. Though it's probably the inner shape and the layup (if carbon) that are the main factor.

Would y'all want to see a 15-minute VitalMTB video with back-to-back testing on a section of brutal rocky chunder with different pedal kickback theories to see if the Ochain really works as advertised?

I think it looks really promising, especially if Bilstein can solve a problem with their inaugural product launch that nobody else has successfully figured out I imagine that, along with the available funds, would certainly get the attention of a few race teams. ...I'm just holding out for the King MTB suspension to drop lol

That Bilstein patent looks super interesting... I played with a few frequency sensitive valves at RS but could never get them to work smoothly and/or be durable. They would ride great on small bump but then you'd hit something that 'bottomed' the frequency sensitive part and it would bang or spike the damping. Would be cool to see Bilstein enter the MTB market.
