1/3/2025 10:50am I would say that most American's think the economy is bad because the top 1% make all the profit while they struggle to make ends meet on crappy wages. Half the US households don't have a 401k.

1/2/2025 6:53am If he's already backflipping on election promises before even taking office... that must be some kind of record. And not even remotely surprising. But to already be in the "find out" stage is certainly something. The "If those kids could read..." meme from King of the Hill seems pretty appropriate right now.

1/2/2025 6:52am Its interesting to note the tariff talk has died down over the last few weeks. I can only assume they have done more modelling and realised people don't want to pay more for groceries, and acknowledge that it was a large part in the Democrats losing, and if they don't control groceries prices they'll suffer the same fate. The tariff threat could be just a ploy for Trump's administration to get its way internationally with a stick based approach. I still think they'll do something about solar panels that may trigger the trade war. The US has been left in...

1/2/2025 6:51am Your economy doesn't need to be turned around. It's the most successful in the world by an insane margin. Americans are so much richer than the rest of the world it's nuts. Your problems are lack of social policy, not lack of economic activity. From The Economists reporting China themselves are getting annoyed at the offshoring of their companies to skirt tariffs as well, as it means no manufacturing jobs for the Chinese workers and instead the factory owners get richer by setting up new factories in Vietnam etc. They're predicting a mild crackdown on it in the new year...

12/22/2024 12:25pm I'd assume the picture is worse with Shimano. Most the way through COVID brands knew not to overbuy on SRAM because the transmission cannon was about to go off so I feel like they biased toward Shimano. That way if transmission didn't work out well at least there is still reasonably high end Shimano stuff they can use (XT and xtr). Now with new Shimano about to drop brands are really sweating it. Not to mention Shimano still owns the "low end" (below deore/nx) side of the market. To tie this back to team rumors I would expect giant to...

12/22/2024 12:26pm Not meaning to stir up the "dh isn't F1!!!!" folks but their rev share system is a good example of it working in a way that can benefit "struggling" teams - seeing Alpine (dead last start of season, even making Sauber look good) suddenly have a better outlook for next season after having a killer weekend, bumping up a few...

12/18/2024 11:45am Dating someone on the team you own and manage is bad enough, but the fact that he first met Jenna when she was an underage junior racer on his team is beyond creepy. They conveniently started dating the first year she was in Elite. It is an overused term nowadays but that is the definition of "grooming".

12/18/2024 11:45am I know a couple Junior riders who spent years on the circuit around B-Kiddy and he seems to be the most hated rider out there and it’s not really close. Obviously I don’t know him personally but judging by the general sentiment towards him and the fact that he’s dating his employee w an age gap that wide, it’s probably safe to say he’s a mega questionable dude.

12/18/2024 8:17am I could care less. But dating a girl who was 17 when she joined your team shortly after she becomes legal, while she still is a part of the team, is pretty questionable and wouldn’t fly in a lot of businesses. Hell plenty of companies would not let you date an employee as a manager if they were 10 years older than you. The age gap just increases the power imbalance. Ultimately if they are happy and stay happy good for them. But there are a lot of young women who get used by irresponsible men making false promises who...
