You know what's really super awesome? When the SC bikes do finally get released like this, we'll get ANOTHER 5 pages of people rehashing the same points ad nauseum.

Just looked at the current and previous year's Hightowers. Every tier is Sram only. the lowest build has Sram NX, then there is a cable GX, then multiple AXS build tiers. They've entirely given up on Alu full suss bikes. (Did PON tell them that GT fills that market?) There's now a wireless NX equivilent. Its not hard to see...

Good, the sooner tear offs are banned all round the better. And when a company gets round to making a remote roll off system loic can have an extra button on his bar

At this point I think Loic's mechanic is just finding new ways to troll us bike nerds.

"Similarly, 95% of the people that buy a carbon Stumpjumper never ride it anywhere close to its potential. But with this new version, Spesh has flipped the percentages compared to the Tacoma/4runner. They've optimized the bike for the 95% rather than the 5%. And they're not hiding it. From their website, "It literally uses more travel for the same size...

S Curves. Progress still happens even near the top of the S curve, but it's like watching yourself age as you brush your teeth every morning. Day to day, you're seeing the same face in the mirror. Year to year... probably still pretty much seeing the same face. But jump 4-5 years, you've changed. Compare 2019 to 2024, taking the rise of the e-bike out of the picture, we're riding bikes that are yet longer and lower and slacker, steeper seat tubes, bigger brakes, often with some combination of better electronic shifting, high pivots, chain growth defeating tech, etc, etc...

ebikes have different rules in europe compared to north america. (I'm guessing that the other continents pick one of the first two to copy) and it is difficult to fly with them, or at least with the batteries. Confining the series to one continent makes sense, given the euro-heavy nature of the recent EWS calendar, and the popularity of ebikes...

The most exciting feature delivered with the new EP801 firmware update is the extended assist carryover when the rider stops pedaling. This is a key race advantage… Now we’re talking! Push this a little farther and we can call the one good, strong kickstart a pedal stroke and give me a few thousand seconds of ‘carryover’. That’ll getcha up the local hill :D

I've seen zero evidence of aluminum frames being recycled. I ran bike shops for 10 years and never saw a recycling program. I still have never seen a hint of a recycling program, not at local shops and not at manufacturers. There is no link on manufacturer websites to "recycle your aluminum frame here" . Aluminum is recyclable, but with no public easily accessable way to do it, the rate of it actually happening is likely close to zero.

bitta irony. jackson and jordan just cant get away from each others storylines after the epic juniors battles they had. this track is just an injury machine. can't even hate it tho. if you wanna prove you're the most technically talented bicycle rider in the world this is it man. this is the one.

Problem is with the current euro-focus of the schedule, all the teams are effectively euro based. See the trucks and pits they have for all those rounds, compared with what they show up with to NA or Aus races. Its fairly obvious which round(s) become the drop round if we are talking about just deliberately not showing up to save...

Vid was dope! It bummed me out to hear (again) how things with SC/Syndicate & Greg fizzled out poorly at the end. It was sad to see the end of a Syndicate era that we all came to know and love for so many years. I wish they had interviewed individuals from the team who had fingers pointed at them as the cause of last year's issues. To hear both sides of the story. I find it hard to believe that someone as decorated and particular as Greg wasn't listened to and supported to the team's fullest abilities. I get...
