I’ve owned nearly every generation of Boxxer between 2004 and 2020. They’re perfectly fine for reliability. Have you ever even owned one, or are you just shitting on it because you saw a photo online? BTW, if you blow up that G-Out photo and hold up a ruler, it’s nowhere near as deflected as it looks. The number plate and decals are an optical illusion.

Been talked about before but now almost available to buy https://road.cc/content/tech-news/wheels-self-inflating-deflating-tyre-… From the world of gravel… Can add 14psi in a km (deflation much quicker) into a gravel tyre, would be slower for an xc tyre. At that rate, probably only plausible for xc marathon/stage racing which can have sustained road or fire road sections interspersed with difficult-for-an-xc-bike singletrack.

Does that groupset not do the job? Would you prefer the bike to be more expensive with a groupset released last year that accomplishes the exact same thing? I love how as a community we complain that novices by bike by the derailleur model, and then we also complain about derailleur models.

Minnaar retires. Staying as Team Director of Norco but that surely leaves a high level spot at NFR.

Removing that large chunk of metal/carbon significantly weakens the frame, so it has to be reinforced around the opening.

Stop this now. You are using logic and facts to explain pricing. They won’t like it. But seriously this - look at that stumpy - s-works and full top end Fox - that is always going to equal big bucks. But guess what - Specialized aren’t forcing you to buy it - there are cheaper versions of the Stumpjumer you can buy…. 🤦🏻‍♂️ I’ve come to the conclusion that humans just like to complain regardless of facts.

Hey guys, a few people have asked why we took the pod down for a bit over the weekend. Quick explanation… I want to give everyone on the pod a platform to speak candidly. With this episode we were up against it, we only recorded on Friday morning & I knew Singletrack were publishing on Friday evening, so we rushed it out & Jack, Emilie & Joe didn’t get a chance to listen back to it until it was live. On reflection there were a couple of bits where people wished they’d phrased things differently. I was racing at the...

Couldn't agree more, so many people getting angry about misinformation and conjecture. World Cup racing has been in flux since it's inception. This is just the next change in a long line of changes. Seems to me that the main source of anger on the forums and comments sections is that it's no longer "free" to watch DH racing. But for those of use who have paid to watch the DH racing (especially the womens) has been some of the best ever. What I gather from this forum is that the World Cup should be free to enter for anyone...

So many drama queens. The sky is falling. I think the changes will be good in the long run. Maybe it's because I have been a fan since before the Freecaster/ RedBull days. I think the GCN app was good as it bundled all cycling racing into a single source and I didn't mind paying for it.

" More likely it’s not a big enough change from the Evo and people don’t see the value in selling their current bike for an abysmal sum and then paying Spesh rrp prices. " Its a lovely bike. No complaints whatsoever. Even the pricing isn't terrible by the standards of the last few years. But despite some incremental improvements (I...

"SRAM then requires gravel frames to have a minimum chainstay length of 415 mm, and that the chainline is 47.5 mm (provided by SRAM’s XPLR/Wide cranks). " So if you had a 148 rear end, you would have everything 3mm further out. 50.5mm chainline cranks? or close to it?

From Dave Rome's review: " The new Red XPLR Full Mount derailleur is a dedicated gravel and related dropbar product, based on a 142 mm axle width, that narrower chainline, and not designed with mountain bike rear suspension in mind. Why is there so much backlash against frame manufactures like Santa Cruz and Specialized going electronic drivetrain only but no one is questioning what is driving that decision? With GX level AXS and transmission, and the new OEM level transmission SRAM has all but said we aren't doing mechanical shifting anymore. I have no idea what Shimano's plans are with the new Di2 replacement but my guess is that it's going to cover a wide range of performance levels to compete with SRAM, possibly even cannibalizing all their mechanical shifting options. That leaves you with CUES, which by all accounts...
