I think that misses the point of a RAW video? I always felt like the whistles are part of what made them cool in the first place. Other websites try to do "raw" videos that are overly produced and its not the same IMO

Every person I’ve seen own a banshee has broken the frame or ita hardware. I’d put them in some of the lowest quality bikes out right now.

Their enduro team was done last year but they graciously kept me on board for this year with my contract having another year on it. Sounds obvious of course, but the bike industry isn't always so giving. The DH team took me in and I had a blast all year long, which was the main reason for doing DH at the end of the year. I just wanted to hang out with the team some more, and who wouldn't take the chance to race World Cup DH while they can. As for next year, stay tuned.

Tippie was in NWA quite a bit over the last couple of years as part of YT events. Everything said on that writeup is true. He's unflagging in his positivity and stoke. He includes everyone and interact with everyone from the kookiest kid to the most seasoned pro. He's almost uncomfortably positive and full of stoke at times, but a brand really couldn't ask for a better ambassador. I hope he lands somewhere. Dude is a legend, and his story of climbing out of the dark depths of addiction is inspirational.

My two cents. I like watching “second tier” riders right along side the pointy end dudes. Especially when you get to see a rider develop over a few seasons. The rider that starts to qualify more regularly, then becomes a top 15-20 dude, then top 10, and finally a podium threat. I like to see this on the same courses as Loic and Jackson, it gives me scale. I love WC racing, I pay to watch. I am not going to suddenly start paying close attention to IXS Cups. I’ll look at the results of a Monster Energy Series race...

Would be great to see Booker back on NP. Hardline rider with potential for EDR overall. Or even on the DH team if he wants to go that way. One of the most talented riders in the world.

I’ve been surprised for awhile there’s not a crowdfunded racing team. Put a bunch of fan fave riders on a fan fave team and watch magic happen like it did when Moir, Dean Lucas, and Charlie Harrison were together on Intense. Would pitch in a few hundred bucks for Frameworks or Gwin Racing to pick up Dak. Surely there’s a bunch of folks willing to do similar. Could do it under the auspices of Vital Racing

Quick, finger-in-the-wind take: Timing: They sold at the absolute peak. The bike industry was booming, and the broader financial world was drunk on cheap capital. People were taking wild risks (ask me how I know). EBITDA vs Earnings: Most PE guys I know price deals off EBITDA, not net income, which makes back-of-the-napkin math tricky (because we don't have that number). If net earnings were EUR2M, I’d peg EBITDA around EUR6M, though that’d mean an ugly 8.5% margin. More likely, if they were doing 15% EBITDA margins (still conservative for D2C bikes), that’s EUR10.5M EBITDA. Apply a 10x multiple and...

I got some new tires, inserts, tape, and sealant. Kryptotals, which ended up being some of the tightest beads I’ve ever tried to put on. Front went on well. Back broke two tire levers. The second broke as the tire went on, so I had to crack it open to get the lever piece out. Got some sealant in, and tried pumping it up. And tried again, and again and again and again. I couldn’t get it to seat. Let it sit in the sun, used some soapy water, everything. Finally, finally the bead was seated and it held air...
