So how much of a G out for an 85kg rider's effective weight to be putting over 100kg of force into the frame? The wording asks more questions than it answers.
That's not really how it works. They designed the bike around a max rider weight of 100kg and all the forces that would be associated with a 100kg rider ripping it down DH tracks (i.e. category 5 conditions). Given that the Cube team races (or will) these at WC level I assume it's more than burly enough for the average Joe. Not to mention there likely some sort of safety factor as part of the design so an extra 1-5kg probably won't mean the end of the world...just don't tell Cube that when filing a warranty claim.

Both aluminum and carbon frames have finite fatigue life, and that's likely the main concern with the weight limits. It probably won't catastrophically fail while riding it, but you probably will get fatigue cracks and failure on high stress parts of the frame faster than you would if you were under 100 kg.
But yeah, if it becomes an issue tell cube that you're a svelte 95 kilos and it shouldn't be a problem.
Since for the foreseeable future we will all be riding our MTBs on this planet only can we just use weight as our term of choice and leave mass out of it since we ain’t in chem lab?

Interesting point on delivery dates, now those customers know there is a better bike coming (the eCVT system) or other bikes available now, how much delay will they be prepared to swallow on the current bikes? A Bosch bike you can get hold of today seems a better prospect to me than an avinox bike you might get at some point in the next 6 months, maybe.

If you're at all familiar with the evolution of the drone industry over the last decade, you might have made the observation that DJI was to the commercial drone industry what Amazon was to the bookstore industry 15 or 20 years earlier. If you don't have a problem with a single Chinese vendor taking over 90% of all e-bike options, then I guess we just keep doing what we're doing. They definitely make a good product, but how hard will they try when they've wiped everyone else out? Just one outsider's observation.

Given the issues they have had to try to get Amflow's to NA, I'll be interested if they can keep up with the actual issues once they start popping up. Everyone else has years of learning the supply chain which still isnt great, but ebike customers are talented at breaking things in new ways once they actually get out in larger numbers. Theres barely been a season since the M2 launched with an actual line up of bikes using it and I'm not sure how many they have actually delivered yet. It would be interesting to see the sales numbers at this point.
Long story short, with more Avinox bikes coming in hot from what I've seen on the back end, and each individal company having to supply parts for their own models, will they be able to keep up with whats needed to support the system properly if DJI ends up running short at their end. On the Yeti I presume they didn’t want a big vulnerable chuck of carbon sticking up there and ruining the industrial design. Almost looks like a Flat Mount to Post Mount adapter they repurposed. If so it’s a clever use of a mount that already exists.
The V10 mount is to compensate for the change in axle position.
Kona seems kinda fucked imo. I don’t see what they can do to bounce back (I really hope they do).
The current bikes are solid but need some small geo updates. Do they copy and paste, and make the 153 and 134 a basic four bar, slightly slack then out, a little more stack, longer CS, and slightly more progression? Not hard and a proven formula, but it’s getting into bland territory. Either way Horst-ing them will make them objectively better.
The other hot non e-bike seller is a downcountry bike, but at this point is the market kind of flooded. The hei hei didn’t seem to make waves really. Idk man.

Horsting them will make them objectively better." there's is nothing objectively better about about a Horst link layout, all it does is provide a lower anti rise, which has its trade offs with geometry preservation. I sincerely hope that Kona doesn't go away from single pivots, because I like bikes with higher anti rise and the slight firming of the rear suspension does not bother me in the slightest, where bikes that pitch forwards under braking do. Honestly, Kona needs to trim skus down, they way too many budget and low end hardtail and those need to go. Getting rid of those and focusing on their trail bikes could do them a lot of good.
Ollie with Forbidden Bikes was bombing around at Mount Washington today on an unmarked frame resembling the eeb layout but the front triangle appeared to be slimmed down with a more conventional BB area. Had a Lyrik on it, no pictures unfortunately.
