Exactly. I’m a fan of the rider first, it doesn’t really matter what team they are on.
Maah no frickel gate, no shiny coffe machines nor spy shots… everyone is so correct in 2026. No podcasts with some spicy insider information.
I was riding today and swear I saw Oisin O Callaghan on a Trek trail/enduro bike
William to Atherton. Dan Brown looks like he's going to pop.
Prince andrew to pivot?
COMMENT OF THE YEAR!!!!!
Who? I didn’t realize there was a Prince Andrew
Pretty sure he's not getting sponsored by Title.
Yup. I think he's just regular Andrew now. lol
The artist formerly known as Prince to Rogue Racing.
Not a team rumor as such but Gwin is going to hardline Tasmania . I hope it's a sign he's committing to a full season next year .
That's cool to hear! In an interview sometime this fall he made it pretty clear that he was going to focus on the 2026 season after having a few too many distractions this year. Should make for some great battles, 2026 may be the best World Cup series yet!
Thought it was interesting Jackson on the hardline Tasmania list but no Laurie.. is it possible he is just missing it to not risk his season
He is just listed, means not he starts 100%.
Hardline Tasmania Startlist - gives us some rumor fuel
Jess Blewitt, was previously not allowed do Hardline when riding for Cube. Back at Hardline = off Cube for sure?
Gwin, racing Hardline for the first time ever. Probably doing a full season of racing. Does this mean he's on a new team? Pivot, Frameworks? What other teams present at Hardline Tasmania could hire/afford Gwin? Or is Gwin Racing still racing?
Kade, will he actually show up for Hardline and if so what bike/team will he be on? Is he still on Trek?
He's definitely off Mondraker - they have a training camp next week, and he's not going.
Dak's last IG story showed him on a Mondraker ebike.. He knows what goes on here.. Pot has been stirred..
Pure speculation here, but I'm guessing Gwin wants to race a few hardlines before he potentially hosts one at Windrock. Beyond that speculation it's a good career longevity move it seems with lots of older badass riders on the start list.
From what I’ve seen of Winrock, looks like a cool bike park but don’t think it’s Hardline worthy. Jackson Goldstone mentioned earlier this season he had the perfect track for a Hardline event around the Squamish BC area.
I personally think it's a transition period for Gwin. He's not as competitive as he once was, let's face it. Prime Gwin wouldn't touch Hardline imo, he would just go and try to win WCDHs. Now he probably feels the need to get a bit more exposure/provide more value for his sponsors? He did mention in a podcast/video that he is going all out for 2026, so we'll see.
maybe that’s needed to keep the helmet?
To the east of the “traditional” Windrock bike park is much steeper terrain with tons of cliffs and super steep chutes. The bike park did “expand” into this area a few years ago, but don’t really have any trails there other than moto (20). If you look at a map, you can see moto, there is a ton more to the east/right of that area…
The new Hardline venue is a bit farther south in BC than Squamish......back to team rumors!!!!
Dak to Norco - would be a good fit and the program would suit him I think
Norco Old Men Army then? I don't think so.
Dak to scott.
I don't doubt he's moved away from Mondraker. I just thought it would be a sneaky little way to get everyone creating buzz for whatever bike he ends up on next...and then that bike becomes a newly-released production bike.
Similar opportunities with Norco and their yet-to-be released bike...or Nukeproof as a "we're back" statement.
Tresspasser.
I tried to run/hike up Moto on one of our trips to Windrock last year, as I remember it was on an Enduro a couple of years back. I didn't make it very far up until there was a huge tree down, and I didn't feel like bushwacking to get around it and back on the trail. That trail is seriously steep. My son was a grom back when he raced it but I asked him if he rememberd it from the race "hardest trail I've ever ridden... I think I crashed like 20 times on it." 🤣
Could be nothing but BK wearing full TLD in the post announcing his Kawasaki partnership. PFR tagged.
i'd assume AG has earned a sort of contract for life scenario, even if it gets absolutely tiny. he's earned the lid and pay check, to say the least.
Bulldog still rides in an RB lid. can't imagine his contract is massive or anything. but also can't imagine the idea of stripping him of a helmet or something.
but it's an interesting thought. Peaty still rocks a Monster lid. at what point does one take it off? trying to think of a rider whose contract expired and went to a 'plain' bucket afterwards
Aaron Chase lost his RedBull helmet
