New bar or just new graphic?

I think I remember hearing in a BK video that Renthal went through a rebranding so that's likely just new graphics

Ha, my Dad worked for one of the companies that first bought these into the UK back in the 1970's, I believe one of their first uses here was in aquariums (assuming it's a liquid crystal type).

Temperature stickers are not the reason I posted this pic 😉

So new XTR headlines are: no cables, no clutch and the wandering bite point might be resolved? Am the only one who was hoping for some more tangible upgrades?

It appears very much like so, only no idea what the orientation of it is. Vertically oriented for fork mount?

It's funny that everyone is up in arms over no clutch on the new XTR.. From the video I watched, it sounds like they just went a different route to solve the chain slap issue by using 2 springs...

Yeah I know, sorry, maybe I shouldn't have posted it, it was  just interesting to me as I hadn't seen or considered them for this application before..

You wanted to talk about how far camera lenses have come in regards to chromatic aberration?

Is Vital gonna be getting The Push VTX or the new EXT Vecta in for review?

I’m trying to decide what to get to long-shock my sentinel and there seems to be quite a few new products that offer a custom tuned shock for only a little more than a Vivid/DHX2.

No more self destructing ceramic pistons too.

Looks like Production Privee is about to release a DH bike (not the CNCd one tho 🥲)

Anyone want to take a shot at explaining the lack of a clutch on the new shimano stuff?

My question was not about shimanos official line. I’m curious what we think about their decision, and if we believe their explanation (or if their explanation holds up.) I guess we won’t know until more people get o ride it.

clutches were a band aid fix for chain slip/retention anyway - I'm not sure if this dual rate spring will be much better but I'm glad to see them trying something different

I did hear Steve Mathes mention on one of his shows recently some new Renthal MTB product was coming so I’m thinking this is something new.

I'm guessing these are the chemical ones as they sty coloured after they hit the temperature, so the mechanic doesn't have to charge over and snatch the bike to take the reading before it turns white again.

Also yes it's obviously the new brembo brake for specialized.

Maybe Manitou will finally launch a coil shock but it's not yet ready hence the frame sock.

I'm getting the new VTX in for testing shortly on my Megatower. Currently on the Vorsprung Telum. Excited to compare both against my stock SDLX Ultimate with HBO, which is a great shock in its own right.

I'm really excited for the XTR embargo to be over so I can get more miles in on the new not-a-clutch clutch mechanism on my primary bike. Very curious how it will affect suspension feel to have spring force instead of friction controlling the cage on my long travel bike with relatively high anti-squat.

Affect. Something affects something else and the result is the effect (of it). Effectively.

Yes, but grammatically it covers both here.

Not gonna lie this leak got me excited

New Evil bike for sure, no idea what model it could be

It has frame storage, bolts are different

Looks like the flip chip design has 2 big bolts rather than the 3 smaller ones it had before

Can’t wait to see what they’ve done!

(EDIT by @sspomer - PUSH asked us to nuke the photo as it was an accident that it went live)

Are we now in a place where Shimano is sitting on the patents for an adjustable clutch?  Shimano going this new direction and SRAM still cannot make their clutch adjustable (or has given up on figuring out a way around the patents)?  Or am I confused and just spouting forum half-truths?
