Any cool guys out there ridden the 2024 Norco Fluid VLT with the new Bosch SX motor that was released early in the summer? Looks like it’ll be an awesome mid-weight contender going up against the Relay and the EXe.
Lot of hate for asking a question. Almost feels like pinkbike.
I think its because in the past there has been enough ebike performance debates in this forum. It does not really offer much for Tech Rumors and Innovation of future products. Otherwise derailment would happen and poppa Sspomer will have to take off his belt.
Hayes has Manitou Mezzer forks at 40% off on their website, and low stock/unavailable options. New/updated enduro fork coming from Manitou soon?
What more can they upgrade it with? It’s already the lightest of the superenduro forks (not sure about the Intend models, but they are boutique), it works incredibly well (don’t mind the reviews where they find problems with the performance - those were examples of the first batches). The only way i can see them improve it is the way of Formula and MRP, with the Selva and the Bartlet - make it a lightweight double-crown fork with a 15mm thru-acle and 190mm travel.
In the same time, keep the single crown option!
given that they recently (last year or so) launched updated Mattoc and Mastodon models, I think it's pretty likely.
A coil option could be offered, and maybe also a more varied array of models for different price points so that its more in line with the Dorado (I've heard good things about the performance of the coil-sprung Comp model) and the new Mattoc. But the potential for a lightweight dual crown version could also be really unique if they can get people to buy it!
Id love it if they decided to throw a curve ball and stand out and make their version of the Intend Bandit using the Dorado
Chassis isn't class leading to be honest, lowers and bushings are not optimised for 170-180mm travel on 29 wheels, I know they wouldn't be able to get it close to 2000g if they used beefier lowers, but there is that...
I hate that, I wish companies would let the camel hump TT just die
You're forgetting the most important update: shiny and new.
A dual crown Mezzer with 160-200mm travel, short offsets (in drop crowns too unlike the current dorado!!), in the ~2500g range… not trying to turn the “tech rumours” forum into a “tech wish list” forum but that sounds like it has a lot of potential to be really rad. Just make sure it’s “e-bike approved” and they’ll sell enough.
Anyone know about that repeater with the sram motor and no cable tourism?
Or a 160-180mm USD mini Dorado in single and dual crown options… #JustSaying
Gasgas is releasing their ebike soon and that has sram motor so can't be far off.
Naaah, too much in common with the Dorado. A dc-Mezzer will be a different enough fork compared to a Dorado - right-side-up vs USD, 15mm vs 20mm axle, fast axle vs bolt-on axle, rearward arch vs no arch, they can further differentiate them with keeping such a dc-Mezzer only up to 190mm compared to the Dorado’s 200mm.
My guess is it could be better suited this way for 29er wheels as well!
I built some 170mm dorados a few years ago. they are the shiz
What clamps are those? They look great!
Thanks, they are some one offs I machined.
Gasgas has a non-ebike "prototype". Looks like an enduro-freeride bike with dual crowns.

It says Sensus on the chainstay yoke near the BB. What's Cam Zink doing these days?
When’s it coming out?
Preload collar on minnar's warm up bike?
Isn't that a departure from the current Shimano way of doing things? That's assuming they are actually Shimano cranks.
Good eye! Definitely looks like a Shimano BB-MT800 bottom bracket to my eyes, but I think you can stick any 24mm spindle crank in there that you want. Either it's a new Shimano crank, or maybe Minnaar is experimenting with shorter cranks? I thought it might be an Ochain thing, but some of the other Shimano riders seem to be running Ochain with the XT wide-spindle Superboost crank.
XTR cranks have a preload ring.
more from Vorsprung shock. Looks like a spherical bushing.
Honestly that looks like a stickered over existing frame. or something they bought off the assembly line. with the sensus decals we all wonder Zink....is it just a stickered over old Hyper of his?
zink rides michelins and it looks like 29/27.5 mullet. seems like rampagers would want dual 27.5 or 27/26 mullets, eh? interesting though. what re-painted frame is it? anyone know?
edit: oh, clicked link - it's alex marin's bike.
The gasgas doesn’t look like any existing frames I can think of but has a taipei cycle show catalog frame kinda look to it. Anyone else think it’s dumb that of the 3 ktm brands (ktm, husky, gasgas) they’ve chosen the only one with the word “gas” in the name to be their gravity oriented bike line?
