Hello Vital MTB Visitor,
We’re conducting a survey and would appreciate your input. Your answers will help Vital and the MTB industry better understand what riders like you want. Survey results will be used to recognize top brands. Make your voice heard!
Five lucky people will be selected at random to win a Vital MTB t-shirt.
Thanks in advance,

Intense Cycles USA shares this same quality. Yes they do have an XC bike, but they primarily concentrate on racing gravity events. The fact that they're in Temecula is just icing on the cake.

Given that side of the equation, maybe Gwin can sub in whatever he was getting from YT if intense can't beat it as it's a real advantage. I'm sure TRP may have some extra dollars for him this time around since they went from a brand I'd avoid at all cost, to a brand with a few brakes I not only want over others, but have held up as well or better than others from what I've tested. Same with Onza.

Action Bronson seen last night promoting his new album (white bronco) on Complex's 'OpenLate', wearing a hat hinting at a factory ride for 2019. Notice he is wearing the hat backwards only showing supporting sponsors keeping us on the edge wondering who is on the front. ( all seriousness its great seeing someone like him wearing some MTB gear on that platform)
Riding a Bronson, naturally.
Gwin has made numerous pasive stabs at previouse companies taking too long to get what he needs or just not having the support he wanted when it came to testing. Im sure in a year or two we will hear from him where he gives us a little piece of info that explains more about him leaving. Trek has great team support and a proven winning bike design which comes in 29er that's got a lot of testing and real world use under uts belt already.
And lets not forget money. Trek has shit tons of it. They have the most dominate competitve free ride team, they just signed Neff to join Batty and Cooper to push them even higher in the factory team XC ranks... Might as well spend the money to have a dominate DH season or two as well... How to stay extra relevant in the MTB game? Win events at every MTB discipline.
We know Gwin costs lots of money, but Trek has the Black Visa.
And to make the picture complete, Volvo Cannondale was the best known, but we also had these: Schwinn/Toyota, BMW/ProFlex, Mercedes Benz/Marin, Volvo/Kona (Misser bros. on Turners), Ford Kona, Mountain Dew/Specialized supported by Subaru, Gary Fisher/Subaru, Trek/Volkswagen, Klein/Catera, Wiesmann/Nicolai, GT/Chevy and some I probably forgot.
I hope it's true, though!
I for one find the bike speculation that goes into the whole "how are things gonna be" equally exiting and as integral a part of the "who goes where" speculation as where people are actually headed. So given that none of you are mods - can't the thread just live its own life? Sure, i can't care less about HT or Bronsons or whatever, but people scrutinizing bikes before has given a few gems that were hiding in plain sight previously - so why not just accept it and move on? Since people have been consistently debating both riders and bikes throughout the thread the pleading to stop debating bikes hasn't been all that effective thus far has it? As the racing is done on bikes, your subjective opinion on what should or should not be debated is about as relevant as mine - which is not very
As for "YT's inability to produce a 29er in a timely fashion" - jeez, that is a pretty big statement considering the prototyping of bikes usually takes years. It is not like all the 29ers put forth by the competition were home runs either, whereas YT's seems to be a decent bike. The Atherton program hasn't even used their 29'er option for the most part, in spite of all the praise this thread seems to be lavishing on that design. Admittedly, that was due to Gee having a massive crash on his and loosing confidence in the design by association, before hauling on it again at the end of this season.
As for Gwin leaving YT, oh well. I really liked how the Mob videos portrayed Gwin as a pretty mellow guy in a mellow crew, instead of the super serious praise the lord american followed by incessant "U-S-A U-S-A U-S-A" cheers of yesteryear. Might just be me being a silly euro eh
Confirmed: The Flying Finn, Matti Lehikoinen, has teamed up with Pole on a full time basis for R&D as well as taking on the role as Team Manager for Pole's new enduro race team #SISU
Endless discussions about a wheelsize of a SC bike and if a certain Fox shock fits or not? Loris was on SC and is on SC, and if a shock fits or not has not much to do with who is going where. The debate about the SC bike was killed a page earlier and then a page later someone starts it all over again.
Hope this clears it up a bit (and nothing wrong with a bit of self-cleansing capabilities in a forum as long as it is a bit constructive
And now: back to Racing Rumors!

Also am i the only one seeing the Mazda thing as covering up Transition logos due to a switch in frame sponsors (which has also been rumored)?
