Not a team rumor, so sorry for bumping this thread with something slightly ot but I had no where else to put this. Greg Minnar and Nina Hoffman were at the fox head HQ last night for an open house and my wife wanted to go down and meet them. This is great. A suggestion though - do control tires and contact points (handlebar, grips, seat, pedals) across all bikes. Aka make sure that it is a test of the bike as a system set up for the reviewer, and not a test of that one component that makes the bike ride off for the reviewer. That way the bikes can more easily be compared for performance too, not "the tires/handlebar/grip/whatever were off on that bike" Yeah, testing them as they are delivered makes sense too, but not if it compromises how you get a feel for the bike as...

I made some approximations of the Aurum HSP and Supreme DH in Linkage, and from what I can tell it depends more on how the linkage is tuned. Just moving a few pivots around on the Norco, you can recreate the leverage curve of a Forbidden [3rd photo], so it ultimately depends on what the designers are looking for.

Hey Guys, another update. Austin was one of the first people I called after getting hurt. We're buddies and talk/ride together fairly regularly. I let him know what was up and wanted to confirm that he was staying in Europe for the next month like I thought he was. He's racing Maribor this weekend and isn't planning on coming back home until after the WC in Switzerland next month either way. That was good news as he's easily ready to go if I pull out. I also contacted USAC to make sure they get him everything he needs to compete...

the leverage ratio graph is very misleading, with the y axis starting at 2. 12.5% progression is surprisingly low for an enduro bike launched as a 2022 model. By all means, it will probably still ride great, even if it is more of an air can specialist. It will be interesting to see if Cascade can make one that yields significantly more progression too.

The hoops some people will jump thru to be pessimistic negative and just generally shitty. I'm willing to give Gwin a few more tries, it took Peaty 15 years to win his world champs. First worlds in '94 and won it in '09. (i'm not sure if '94 was Peaty's first world champs, but thats what is listed on Roots & Rain)

Hey guys, bummer to see all the hate from a few of you but I guess that’s passionate fans in sporting. Here’s the reality. From my understanding and recent reading of the rules, There is not a rule that says you must petition. A petition just assures that you are considered. The rules basically say that USA cycling will pick, at their discretion, everyone who is not an automatic selection (national champ or top 3 in previous world champs). After that the rules just say that they will basically pick whoever is in the top 50 of the current WC...

I've been eagerly awaiting reviews of Cascade links. Sadly, this review brings back memories of Iceman's less than scientific brake test a few years ago ( https://www.vitalmtb.com/features/Vital-MTB-Face-Off-The-Best-DH-Brakes… ). Don't get me wrong - I appreciate the effort and that access to it is free, but did you guys ever consider using for instance telemetry to quantify your findings and do case by case analysis across multiple scenarios? Aka geek it out, since suspension fine tuning is very much a geeky activeity
