I'm looking for recs for clear glasses. Good ones that aren't stupid expensive have been hard to find over the years. I don't like the photochromic lenses because they often don't change quick enough in mixed light. I've used a number of safety glasses and they invariably end up feeling like you're looking through a mason jar. I love my julbo furys but I can't find them in clear/non-photochromic. Tried the tifossi moab and they have a strange fit on my face. Has anyone used the Shimano glasses? Other options?

I've been happy with Rudy project glasses. I basically use the photo chromic racing red or clear lenses depending on conditions.
I clean my riding glasses with Carpro Clarify Phobic, it's a good glass cleaner that adds a hydrophobic coating so stuff doesn't stick to the lenses as much.
Coast Optics are the best I have found and are only $86 compared to $200+ for Smith. At least for me, I don't get any sweat on the lens and good coverage. Very cool small company out of Whistler and only make glasses and googles.

Try here for budget options. I've had a few decent pair from Uvex and Bolle for like $20.
True budget, $11 Mechanix with 90%. I use them to cut cedars with a chain saw, they are good.

Decathlon does excellent clear lens glasses for $20. They keep the wind out of my eyes and magically don't fog.
I have been using an older version (one coming with 2 sets of lens: one clear, one darker) for 3 years. Good Q/P. Still using them for bike commuting every week but cant imagine wearing them as "casual" sport glasses.
My riding friend has some really cool Smith ones that I've been jealous of for a while but I just wear my prescription glasses! I do need new lenses though as I ruined mine during a Wales trip. I've been meaning to get prescription inserts for my goggles too but they're all pretty expensive.
I like frameless safety glasses. When they’re scratched or lost not a big deal.

Once I went to good prescription glasses I realized how rubbish the anti-fog is even on the fancy brands like Smith. On Roka now, absolutely love them (even though their main sponsored podcaster pushes cringey bad science).
2 weeks ago I took a slam and ruined my glasses, new Speedframe helmet and probably broke my nose. No concussion, didn’t lose an eye. Best $400 “wasted” of my life.
Moral of the story is that I’ll never cheap out on glasses or helmet (or tires). All other bike budgeting comes after these.
Thanks to all. The coast optics look pretty good
Might just go for these temu ones instead
Very true, I went all out with my prescription Oakley riding glasses and it was worth it. No fog ever even in the very Humid Sydney summertime.
The Prizm lens fills in shadows it's like cheating. When I ride up to the pub in my normal sunnies it's a drastic difference. When I ride home from the pub vision deteriorates more lol
I've got a couple pairs of Aliexpress glasses. They even have a 100% logo on them although the pictures on the listing don't show it. They're 1:1 knockoffs of real 100% glasses, and come with multiple tinted lenses, including photochromic and clear. Unfortunately I can't find the exact one again, but for less than $10 I just buy a few pairs and don't care whatsoever if they get scratched or broken. I've had them last a couple years each anyway.
You can usually get Wildhorn Radke's on Amazon for like 40 bucks. They all come with a clear lens and a tinted lens.
ESS has a huge variety of glasses/goggles and they're not that expensive.

I like these from Eastern Outer. Great price without being cheap. The photochromatic works well enough that I'll use them on early morning rides when it's still pitch black outside.
I use some way too expensive smith photochromatic glasses that I like, but are absolutely not worth the price. They were a bro-deal years ago, otherwise i would absolutely not pay full price.
I got caught on a recent bike park trip with some rain days and didn't have clear riding glasses because it was a full face heavy trip. I picked up some milwaukee safety glasses from the hardware store and thought they were fantastic for the purpose.

Up until a couple weeks ago, I was using Klein Tools safety glasses from Lowe's.

They lasted over a year but the lenses were just too scratched from too many...incidents. So, I added some Rockbros glasses to the cart the last time I put together a can't-get-it-anywhere-else order from Bozos's company.

So far so good. They're clearer, less in-the-way visually, and seem to protect my eyes from wind better. The top of the glasses above the lenses knock on my helmet, though, so I'm going to have to do something about that. Any ideas of ways to quiet that rattle?
I’ve had the same struggle tbh. Finding clear lenses that don’t feel distorted is harder than it should be.
I’d honestly stick with interchangeable lens glasses. They usually come with a proper, clear lens that’s way better than safety glasses. Tifosi is decent for the price, even if the Moab didn’t work for you.
Shimano ones are alright build-wise, but fit can be kinda hit or miss.
Also, saw a few GearRider Com reviews saying basically the same thing. Mid-range interchangeable setups tend to be the best value for clear riding.
I am currently using those Tifosi Moab glasses next to the Temu face shield and they are good. Adjustable nose piece and arms and come with 3 lenses. Bought them randomly when I lost my previous glasses on a trip and have not regretted the purchase.
+1 to everyone recommending $4 or less cheap ass photo-chromatic knockoffs from sketchy sites. I buy 2 pairs (latest were some POC knockoffs from Ali Express @ $1.92 each), pretend like they're $200 glasses and treat them nice, have the same experience as buying $200 glasses because most of the time they're literally the same thing, and get to spend my $198 savings on things that can't be knocked off on Ali/Temu
Where I ride clear are a must, I tried a few before landing on smith wildcats, I have ran them for 4 years, riding in the mud for 80% of the year 4/5 times a week and constantly cleaning them with a rag in my pocket when there muddy, lenses are a bit scratched but not too bad considering and vision is still great when there on. They can fog abit but a buff every now and again with washing up liquid on the inside of the lenses keeps that to a minimum, they never fog descending its usually just at the trailhead if I’m sweaty and it’s a bit cold before I get moving. I’d recommend them
