A really bad pic - But a bike reviewer posted some pics of his current test mule, and he had blurred out a seatpost and a drivetrain. The seatpost was clearly the new Rockshox dropper, so I thought that the drivetrain might be something from srammers as well. He had posted a very dark pic of the same bike just a few hours earlier. Which with a little bit of editing - Looks like this Clearly a transmission-esque rear deraillieur, with a transmission casette. Front chainring looks different from any of the wireless models, and since there are two hoses/cables...

Enough with the chainstay and transmission discussion - We have something else to scold Sram for. Some really clear pics from ESMTB of the electric dropper we discussed about a few pages back. I see why they did it, but it still looks terrible. But having the battery be a part of the collar, probably greatly decreases the stack height of the whole dropper, which is positive at least. https://esmtb.com/asi-es-la-canyon-lux-world-cup-cfr-de-jenny-rissveds-…

The guys at Onlymotion are close to selling their wireless electronics kit. Pretty amazing that they have managed to pack all this into such a small volume. Also, I truly appreciate that you can charge it without removing the dropper, in contrast to certain mtbr comments. As long as you utilize this conversion kit with any of your mechanical droppers that fit it, you just need to put the included USB-C into the frame once. 10min for 2000 actuations and no proprietary charger sounds good to me. Might be difficult to fit the right insertion on some frames with the...

Santa Cruz Bullit 4 rumours. Bike would be revealed early April, Gloss Black & Matte Teal Sparkle colors. New SRAM Eagle 70 & 90 drivetrains (mechanical) on lower end builds. SC are now showing pictures of an unknown color (looks like Gloss Black) on their Vala page. Santa Cruz are tagging bike models in the name of the photos on their website and they tagged in the Bullit (VA-BU as in Vala-Bullit) on all of the pictures below.

long time reader first time poster here.. friends of mine are developing an vacuum bleeder for shocks and fork dampers to fully service your suspension at home, without the need of messy handbleeding. I just got the chance to try the machine myself and it works pretty straight forward. I thought i spread the word in here because i think this is a pretty cool innovation in the mtb tech for home mechanics/ race day applications etc. https://www.futureliteindustries.com/

Here's a Slayer prototype frame built in 2018 IIRC. I have another example of an earlier prototype built with a chip that allowed a low or mid-height main pivot. I'll have to fire up my external drive (cough I'm old..) to get a photo.

Garbaruk posted on instagram that they have a new product announcing tomorrow, but a guy that I believe is sponsored by garabaruk seems to have pulled the trigger on his post early. Seems like Garbaruk is launching their own wheelsets, hubs, and spokes. Looks like some nice pieces, and it also seems like they have done a spoke very similar to industry nines "system" spokes. Lets just hope they dont charge like €3k+ for a set, which is what a I9 System carbon wheelset with multiple colors costs here in europe. Post says "reasonable pricing" - Who knows what that...

Brand new open bath technology. Comes with the air already mixed with oil in a patented "OIR" blend so you don't need to worry about pesky seals and stuff.

As I say to everybody with a view like yours, come to Slovenia. We have a few climbs here where it's likely you'll be wishing for a 28t ring up front to replace the 30t on your bike to pair up with that wide range, 50+ tooth cassette out back. There are some people that can push insane gear ratios everywhere, but they are far an in between. There are different terrains around the world requiring different approaches. But overall, for most people, wide range cassettes are a benefit, not a negative. Having more options is great, but catering to...

Most likely the short cage version can also be branded as GRX Di2 where 10-45 is a popular option unlike on the mtb. The branding on the crank doesn't look great IMO and it seems that XTR is back on the normal Hollowtech II axle setup connected to the DS arm like current XT/SLX/Deore. Also looks like there is a new clutch system ? Shadowtech II ? There is no visible flip lever and no 2mm port for adjusting tension on those pictures.

I don't have any idea. Could be logical, hopefully we'll see it soon. Two further close photos (see e.g. the '12s' text). The cages seems to be different length on the two (?). Eagle-eyed people here might see some further important info, propably. Wink

Wouldn't be too surprised if that was true, I had been suspicious all last season. His stanchions have a different sheen and the black seems a bit more dull than the typical deep black anodized stock stanchions. DLC?

I see your gearbox/belt/chain talk and raise you an enclosed primary chain with secondary "standard" drivetrain! This is cool: https://www.zoceli.cz/en/vysoko

This is the (Horst) linkage, defining the axle path: This drives the shock: If it's the same colour, it's a single piece. The chainstay of the horst link has an extension, to which the red short link attaches and pulls down on it to rotate the silver rocker, driving the shock.

its all true, we just have to wait till May to officially talk about it. The rear der is a work of art, especially if you hate how big and bulky T-Type is.
