Hold up… You carry a spare derailleur when you ride?!? Are your trails on Mount Doom or something?

Some more detailed photos of the Commencal V5 steel chainstay on Myriam's bike during a bike check video. She says, "It can change the flexibility.. It's super interesting, I can't say more about it, but thats a good thing." There is also a removable stiffening plate, I assume they can change the thickness and shape of this to adjust flex. I also noticed the lower link is much longer than stock. Not sure if they are trying to change the leverage ratio or give the bike a more reward axle path or both?!

Charging the small clip-on AXS battery on the fly would be a little difficult while in use. This is why SRAM is proposing to mount the batteries on the small solar panels. They really don't want to deal with wires given the whole appeal of AXS is "wireless" I've looked into making a longer battery AXS solution for a long distance XCM racer. I can use a cheap Amazon AXS battery and solder a wire to it. This would allow the rider to run a much larger battery inside their bike frame instead of the 2.2Wh battery. Similar to how...

The "ass saver" style one puts the battery right in the water spray. What could go wrong? Might as well just hard wire the derailleur in to some solar cells, by which time you might as well just connect the shifter with a cable, which can work in the dark and doesn't need ridiculous charging gimmicks

Hey, yes these are from CounterShox. the blue one on the fork is straight off the moto bike. I tested on my Yamaha 450 first and then had to try on DH bike. I knew it would have a bigger effect. The mount is off a 85cc dirt bike, they have the same diameter clamp as dorado. The one mounted to the seattube is lighter, about 1lb. I 3D printed a mount so it doesn’t rub again the frame. These TMD are not adjustable, from talking to the folks at CounterShox, they have put so much R&D into weights, springs...

That's normal for XD and XDr. Hope does the same thing. been like that for a few years. XDr 12 speed uses 11-speed spacing between gears so it needed a bit more room - just shy of 2mm as it would happen. I am assuming 13 speed comes about by SRAM using a narrower-than-11-speed spacing on the XDr driver. Certainly, it's possible that if/when SRAM releases mountain 13, they need to go on XDr to get every little bit of room they can.

Giant released the inhouse created Crest fork a few years ago (using 34mm stanchions, 130mm travel) - for example, Fathom trail hardtails and Trances were equipped with it. It seems they created a big brother as well with an apparently longer travel, maybe stachions are 35 or 36mm (I'm only guessing) with a more robust design for the lowers: For...

A Propain employee was on Pinkbike saying they read the comments on their bike reviews and they got it wrong with headset cable routing as everyone didn't want it. So kudos to them for listening.

I don't think so. Here the 2 bikes side by side. Looks like the frame is more sloppy, there's an big angle between the top tube and seat tube and the upper looks longer than on the ransom
