😅 We stubbornly wanted to make the sliding bushing work so bad, probably delayed the whole project by a year. At the end of the day in blind A/B testing, riders couldn't tell a difference so it was ease of service and manufacturing consistency that pushed us to fixed bushings. Mountain bikes are similar to motos in many ways but also different, so not every moto concept is a good fit for us. Sure, putting sliding bushings as a feature on our spec sheet would look cool, but if it isn't actually better we're not interested. And yes, it is...

Accidentally I've noticed a photo in this article where Dario Lillo is appararently racing on a prototype Fox 34 (?) fork with completely new lowers. Pinkbike article: https://www.pinkbike.com/news/xco-photo-epic-mont-sainte-anne-xc-world-… ...after some research, turned out, BrujulaBike guys also noticed it and posted some more close-up photos - the crown is very likely also new: Source: https://en.brujulabike.com/new-fox-fork-spotted-xco-world-cup-lake-plac… I tried to find some more...

100% new Reverb AXS, it's very similar to the patent filled by SRAM in May.

Looks like BOS Suspension is back on track with its MTB range: https://www.vojomag.com/news/bos-suspension-revient-avec-une-nouvelle-g… -> Idylle DH fork / Idylle SC (now named Kyll) (39mm stachions anyone?) / Deville + a DJ fork (the USD Obsys should be back too -oh word I'm hoping for a SC version) -> Void / Syors / Stoy shocks as well -> aaaannd surprise surprise, a 2 or 4-pot braking system is in the works (using shimano pads)

Some more detailed photos of the Commencal V5 steel chainstay on Myriam's bike during a bike check video. She says, "It can change the flexibility.. It's super interesting, I can't say more about it, but thats a good thing." There is also a removable stiffening plate, I assume they can change the thickness and shape of this to adjust flex. I also noticed the lower link is much longer than stock. Not sure if they are trying to change the leverage ratio or give the bike a more reward axle path or both?!

Charging the small clip-on AXS battery on the fly would be a little difficult while in use. This is why SRAM is proposing to mount the batteries on the small solar panels. They really don't want to deal with wires given the whole appeal of AXS is "wireless" I've looked into making a longer battery AXS solution for a long distance XCM racer. I can use a cheap Amazon AXS battery and solder a wire to it. This would allow the rider to run a much larger battery inside their bike frame instead of the 2.2Wh battery. Similar to how...

The "ass saver" style one puts the battery right in the water spray. What could go wrong? Might as well just hard wire the derailleur in to some solar cells, by which time you might as well just connect the shifter with a cable, which can work in the dark and doesn't need ridiculous charging gimmicks

Hey, yes these are from CounterShox. the blue one on the fork is straight off the moto bike. I tested on my Yamaha 450 first and then had to try on DH bike. I knew it would have a bigger effect. The mount is off a 85cc dirt bike, they have the same diameter clamp as dorado. The one mounted to the seattube is lighter, about 1lb. I 3D printed a mount so it doesn’t rub again the frame. These TMD are not adjustable, from talking to the folks at CounterShox, they have put so much R&D into weights, springs...
