I think it's illegal to use bald eagle units for a Metric country bro! interesting that some of the DH/Enduro are on the same weekend, Masters brothers, Antoine Vidal etc will have to make up their mind as to which one to race. Knowing Wyn, he will somehow do both the mad unit!

if they cut DH to 30, maybe not as many will be trying both? also, had it pointed out to me that late world cup DH start could be good for USDH early season. keeps people home for a couple months instead of spreading them out. that's encouraging.

I find it funny that people are hating on Walmart for investing in MTB. I thought we all wanted the return of big corporate sponsors for race teams etc? Seems like a good thing to me. Maybe a bit cheesy to proclaim Bentonville the world capital of MTB but otherwise pretty cool.

Yea, "aero doesnt matter in DH" .... but riders have their pajamas custom tailored to basically turn them into skin suits...... the big teams still do wind tunnel testing.... in-too-fast-to-pedal sections fast riders get into their "speed-tuck" position. But "aero doesn't matter". No one is claiming multiple second differences with small changes, but it's pretty silly to think that it can't account for fractions of seconds over a 4+ minute track with some wide-open, very fast 60kph sections.

Chris Porter reckoned that Cathro had his best times ever in the skin suits at Fort Bill (I think) but didn’t wear it in the final because he thought he looked silly (pretty sure it was the NSMB podcast).

I heard something about this years ago – specifically about a WC DH course down there. Something about Lake Leatherwood? I suppose the Walmart heirs could just buy a mountain and transport it to Arkansas. A Walmart DH track could be quite something – riders would have to deal with the usual drops, gaps, etc, but also watch out for falling prices.

I think what Warner Disney are cooking up for DH is going to have a massive effect on how teams look next year, so I would say it is just as important to the 2023 season.

The grapevine being him literally flicking his front brake then shrugging after the crash? Telling Wyn in plain english that he didn't have front brake? Don't pretend you're more connected than you are. What does anything you said have to do with tech rumors?

In my opinion, TREK could have made their design even simpler, lighter and better looking by using a non-Trunnion shock since they would have had ample space to do so if they had installed the shock lower/on the downtube instead of making a lower shock mount like that. Is it because it's easier to market with the "Trunnion shock" line in the specs? I can hear people saying that Trunnion mounts are not a big deal when the frames are well aligned, but my experience is that most frames i've bought were misaligned and had to be sent back for...
