I know aesthetics are subjective, but that Trek just isn't doing it for me. It looks like a lovechild between a GT and a Niner. Considering most of their bikes over the last few years have been fairly simplistic with clean straight lines it's taking my brain a minute to adjust to this one. I know the Trek engineers are much smarter than me and there is a thought-out reason for every aspect of the bike. Maybe it will grow on me...

last year, the ever-wise UCI had the riders rep voting take place during world champs, and they only allowed those competing that weekend to vote. chances are Neko would have had a better chance had they let everyone represented, by said rep, to vote.

Maybe the new team entry fee's are so the UCI can get a functional website that doesn't work and look like it was made to work with windows 98.

I had a similar though of Discovery trying to get more money out of it with something like that. Although I think the audience would still be quite small. On Greg's stand as the rider represantation I think he is having a diplomatic stand. Isn't Pompom also in this role? Her opinion would be interesting. i took the statement as greg being closer to the UCI and not being as into the union idea as others, but assumption on my part. could there be some red bull athlete worry behind the union too (loic's movement)? i DO NOT think red bull limits exposure of non-red bull athletes in the broadcast and even their editorial features, but red bull athletes get a lot of exposure because the broadcast is controlled by red bull (POVs, thumbnails all over youtube and the red bull site, social media posts etc). i don't know how contracts are worked out, but...

If they broadcast qualifying to the same degree they broadcast the final. A 30 or even 20 final would be pretty ok. But that assumes qualifying is broadcast to a high level. Doubt that is in the plans.
