UCI DH has had new tracks and venues this year, more interest than ever (any press is good press and all the negative comments are comments none the less), more entries than ever at most races it seems. Huge interest from brands, who despite not having budget still want to be involved in DH some how. The only people your hairbrained idea of not watching content would hurt is teams and riders, mainly riders. So weird the way the same haters who want the World Cup field filled with privateers and want sick tracks are the same ones who say...

Format, late start to the season, combining the events, coverage is lacking, commentary is sub par. I understand Cedric is a legend, but his commentary is terrible. Ric is a good presenter when it’s recorded but his live commentary is not good. Watching all the rider provided race day vlogs (track walk, post race, etc) I get the feeling that most of riders are not as happy this year. It’s like, they name off like 10 things that suck but then follow it with “that section is fun”.

It's true that mountain bike sales and outdoor sales in general are down right now, but mountain biking and outdoor activity in general are as popular as they've ever been, other than a totally insane, unsustainable, and impossible to replicate 24-month window during Covid where no one had jobs. Go to any trailhead and you will find that bikes, hiking, backpacking, you name it, is more popular than ever and demand for our trails is super duper high. MTBR forums are HUGE compared to a what's happening here on Vital. Every mtb niche imaginable is well covered over there. The main page content has always been crap, but there is a vast wealth of knowledge buried in the forums.
