Misaligned I have heard of, but not of bad welds, maybe of frames that were much more prone to cracking than others. I believe Intense have been very intelligent about this, by creating the FRO mantra and positioning themselves like the Ferrari of MTB DH, suggesting that it's normal for racing bikes to be more fragile than others. That being said, I did not have issues...

I’m calling BS on their being a issue with Loic and Finn… Finn has said in many interviews that he wants to win, that’s his goal and he believes he can do it, and he’s also said if it’s not him winning he would want his team mates winning. when Loic came down after his run and was clearly frustrated how things went…. Finn was first over there to support him. Specialized looks to the best program in the pits.. he’s got has got a bike that clearly works….. why would he leave? He would need to get used to...

Definitely! Can see a lot of riders and teams just walking away. The way the events are setting up now… some not making the main event, and making it harder and harder to do so…. Can’t be cheap get riders flown in from around the world and not making it even into the semifinals…… and then to turn round and say ‘I just wasn’t feeling it this weekend’ The boss is probably like ‘how about my shoe in your ass… you feel that!?’ plus, there’s a lot of riders that just seem pretty vocal/salty… you are being paid to ride...

The difference is that Peaty spent his whole career helping younger riders with teams, deals and advice. Brendan did a podcast recently where he was saying how Peaty even explained financial advice to him. So he fits naturally into a team in a coaching position. Minaar, while obviously the GOAT and an amazing racer and ambassador, is also known for intimidating or confusing his own more junior team members. It is a part of high level sports/racing, so not dissing him (Palmer and even Bruni admitted to doing this on GypsyTales recently), but it does make it harder to find...

Those trunnion mount shocks were built to have a bigger stroke when there is not much space in the frame. Looking at the shockmount there is still plenty of space to get rid of a trunnion mount shock and keep the stroke. So the question is why working with trunnion mount shocks when you don't have to?
