10/14/2023 1:14pm The Manitou Dorado really is an incredible fork. They have the patent on the hex axle (guessing it expires soon) that resolved a lot of flex issues for DH diameter stanchions that moto forks don't have. Hayes just doesn't have the market penetration of Fox & RockShox, nor budget, to get it back on the top step. If a World Cup team w/ a proven winner tossed the Dorado on for next year, I have zero doubts it would hit the top step. Then suddenly people would pee their pants for Hayes/Manitou again.

10/14/2023 1:07pm Because a motorcycle fork doesn't have to be under 4 pounds for its intended audience. They can use thicker tubes, heavier materials and designs to make it stiffer without it being a market failure or affecting human powered performance.

10/14/2023 1:05pm Manufacturer promote their products and highlight their benefits vs competitors. You're not going to hear Sram saying USD forks are better unless they have a USD fork on offer. This is marketing 101.

10/14/2023 1:04pm What must be loudly said about SRAM is they easily provide technical specifications documents regarding their products from which one can deduce standard specs like Boost while Shimano hardly specs any technical drawings.

10/14/2023 1:02pm Who’s to say it is a Enduro bike, could just be another frame built up with a fork they had laying around, the Zeb can go up to 190mm remember, and least it would be a rolling chassis for the likes of the engineers and test riders to ride and test different characteristics.

10/9/2023 1:50am Who says GT isnt given them money? just because it won’t be under the GT factory banner.. doesn’t mean they aren’t putting cash into it. it might be something like Continental/Nukeproof. Surely it would cost GT less to supply frame add something to the running cost of the new team than have to pay for the full thing. One thing Wyn great at is given brand’s exposure, and what he’s done for the privateers is nothing sort of brilliant.

10/9/2023 1:49am • I think we are gonna see some big changes happen at Trek Factory Racing for next year for XC, Enduro and DH. • GT bicycles ends their factory race DH program but Wyn Masters has been secretly in the back rooms working on keeping the riders on the same team with GT being just the frame supplier. The team continues a Privateer help system which helps get more sponsors involved for the team as they want that good PR.

10/9/2023 1:46am No. Everyone else has listened to interviews with managers and riders who have straight up said that they have less information than is ideal. I’m agnostic on ESO. I’m just going off what I’ve heard racers say, on the record, in interviews.

10/6/2023 2:48pm It's also insane that full schedule and full details on next season isn't out for next year. Neko brought it up on the "Working Class of #USDH" podcast that Jackie Ricecakes did from the pits... but how are teams supposed to come to their sponsors with asks when the "package" hasn't even been revealed as of yet. They're seriously making this tough on teams to succeed at this point.

10/6/2023 2:43pm Would guess that Yoann has a bigger marketing value to brands than most WCDH racers outside of the top 10 and dudes like Kade, Brendan etc. Remy is an absolute master at the marketing/business side of the game and a professional at delivering quality content week in week out. The reach of those dudes between YouTube videos and IG reels/posts is crazy. For the record I love what they produce and the times I've run into them in the sea to sky they have both been the nicest dudes super stoked on riding. On the team rumours front, would think...

10/6/2023 2:41pm I'm confused, maybe I'm misreading this, but are you complaining that a mountain biker is getting paid? Remy makes great content, his videos are meticulous, and clearly he works hard at it. I feel like this is a place where we support riders.
