Would you call the automotive policy a success? Cars are also an integral part of the average American’s day. The attitude is that cars are tools and bikes are toys and like it or not the inevitable policy will reflect that. You can get a taste of it by visiting any suburban nextdoor and watching people freak out over kids on e-bikes.

I agree. To much power and weight. I’d take 1/2 the power and 1/2 the weight, in a reliable smooth and quiet package. With a range extender option.

These are big step back for the industry. Super lame. Will predictably lead to problems and less trail access. Remember, most trail access is grace, and not a right.

Well said. I think it is irresponsible of both dji and brands to say "just be responsible". It's not merely a matter of having the power and choosing not to use it. It's that when its available to everyone at scale, it will cause problems. 1500 watts man...

@Blake_Motley did a first ride of the new Pivot Shuttle AMP'd. Correct me if I’m wrong, but “nominal” is effectively meaningless right? Each manufacturer can claim whatever “nominal” value they want. As far as I know there’s no formal or legal definition, no formal testing procedure, etc. So all DJI has to do is say their motor is “750w nominal” and it is?

No I can't handle all this Avinox garbage and a mainstream bike going to 32" in such close succession. Make it stop.

Ya know, I'm changing my tune about 32" wheels. I don't really have all that much interest in owning a 32" bike, and I fully expect most, if not all of the first 32" bikes to not be in my wheelhouse... But right now, I'd kill for anything that isn't related to an ebike to read about. Never before have I yearned to digest some bike stuff that just involved the measly 250w that I struggle to put out. So... bring on the 32" content please, I am primed and ready for it.

what price point are you imagining here? do you know how many brands had SX and NX bikes? Do you know how many of those bikes were sold and still ridden to this day?

Yeah I agree. I do have both forks at 160mm and can definitely whip something up once I get time on the Lyrik.

Really interesting to see the travel overlap between the Lyrik and Zeb at 150, 160, and 170mm. I'm curious to see some back to back comparison at the same travel options (if that's planned).
