I don’t know I think yall are sleeping on the mismatched tires. I’m running an assegai in the front and a kryptotal in the rear (mainly for its wear characteristics). You can pry both from my cold dead hands. I’m loyal to whoever makes the best gear aesthetics be damned.

To add to what’s already been said, I think most ride feel differences between two different suspension brands on a bike would be over shadowed by maintenance intervals. In other words, servicing suspension often is going to make a bigger ride feel difference than having a different brand fork vs shock.

Regarding the knocking, a guy I know just had to warranty his 38 GRIP X2 because the damper side stanchion was coming loose from the crown. That made a knocking sound, and he noticed the damper top cap was coming loose. He tightened it and it returned, at which point he noticed the stanchion was loose. Might be worth looking in those areas.

Well that disproves the hypothesis that Fox takes special care of the forks for the press camps.

This weather is actually my reasoning for considering a move too....and Im in NorCal also. I never understood why people would want to live in SoCal to begin with unless you are into watersports and live coastal or in the southern sierras. Inland empire is a hell hole, so it surprises me not at all that people want to move away from that dumpster fire. @chaseii - I was under the impression that everyone you knew died from vaccine complications? I live in Washington and run really low pressures, but I seemingly always have to air up in California. The speeds are higher, the berms and ruts are more like concrete, the smooth bits are smoother, and the sharp bits are sharper. One of my friends from California refers to my setup as "flat tires." So I think those pressures make a lot of sense for San Diego, even if I think they would suck in Bellingham.

Wish they'd make EXO+ in dual compound. 3C dies instantly on back tires in dry places.
