I mean the Minion DHF celebrated a 20th anniversary. If that is not longevity in this industry, IDK what is. They have been my favorite tire nearly the entire time I have ridden bikes seriously. I try something new every year or so and end up back on the DHF. Three wheelsizes later and I am still going after DHFs for my preferred tire. Had some of the first Minion DHF 29" samples in 2012. Prior to that 29" options were pretty grim, the best we could do were WTB Weirwolf LT 2.55" and Maxxis Ardent 2.4" (probably what I had on the rear in this photo).

The greasing topic to me is a matter of application. Headset and linkage pivots, sure I'll pack them heavy with thick grease to keep moisture and dirt out. Wheel bearings or anything spinning fast, lighter grease, maybe even a few drops of trans oil to keep the slurry light and fast.

Having spent a bunch of time on the new Optic, it actually does make sense. It's the single best descending 125mm bike I've ever ridden, and with the x2 you can easily stroke it to just shy of 140mm. It pops, it's agile, it jumps extremely well, it plows. On single black chattery tech I kept up with my buddy on his range without issue. Hey guys, I came across this shop that is selling new norco range vlt which is not on the official store, it has less travel 170/160 and vertical shock. In the specification there is electric shimano XT Di2 RD-M8250 12 speed, which i did not see anywhere except one page that is not accesible but on google says that this derailleur is 200 euros. That page is in Czech I apologize if somebody posted about this already.
