my 12 year old 110 pounds, runs 20 front and 22 rear for his trail bike with trail casing tires. Still destroys rims from time to time. On his downhill bike, this is the result of 25psi , DHR2 , downhill casing and Tannus insert . Got 2 rides out of this rim. Last season at 100 pounds, only a couple minor dents , this year it’s getting expensive

Apologies if there is any redundancy in what I'm posting, I've fallen behind in my efforts to keep up with the discussions here. I've been up in Whistler for a bit during our annual escape here and bikeconomics is on my mind frequently. There is the cost associated with vacationing here, amplified by the costs of keeping a 16 year...

If a Shore feels "dead in the rear" then it needs a shock service. High pivots feel great in the rough and jump fine. You will take more of a beating for a bike that jumps well. USD is really strong in Canada at this time, so keep that in mind since $3000us will get you a 4,000+ Canadian bike...

Anyone with real access to capital want to make a run at buying all the inventory / assets out of receivership and rebooting Knolly? I'm semi serious.

Grew up in Colorado, started skiing when I was five in the sixties, mountain biking in the early 80's. Was on board with lift served mtb in the late 80's when my home mountain, Winter Park, started up loading bikes to ride xc trails. Always enjoyed off piste, back/slack country skiing long before it became a thing. Didn't ski much...

One thing with Whistler, and I'm assuming others, is the pass and ticket price in summer compared to winter. And then there is the Epic/Ikon factor. Plus the passes sold for hiking and sight seeing. Throw in the cost of trail maintenance summer versus winter. If bike park passes and accommodations become equal in cost to ski season it could...

Just got this from Knolly: A Message from Noel Buckley I'm going to keep this simple because you deserve that. The last few years have been the hardest this industry has ever seen, and Knolly has not been immune. But we have been fighting through it: restructuring costs, tightening operations, and doing the difficult work of right-sizing the business to match a new reality. We were making progress. That progress was cut short. Our bank, RBC, has made the decision to call in our account. This comes at a time when RBC is posting record annual profits, $20.4 billion last...

Worldwide cyclery looks to. have a full size run. I haven't checked any other retailers but it looks like it may be a new colorway as well. I have noticed they aren't on the Adidas site. I've noticed them disappear before and panicked but they've always returned.

Pretty spot on. From what I could tell it was the same team as last year plus Osin. All on matching blue and orange sessions. I don’t think it’s an issue posting this since they set up at the shuttle spot with two factory trek vans, at least 20 people deep, with music blasting all morning, at a well known spot on a busy weekend. They had quite the setup, only thing they seem to have forgotten to bring was some shovels 😉

@TEAMROBOT Yes, that’s exactly what Chronocult does. It is a simple web-based timing tool. You can have a friend at the start and another at the finish - each on their phone - timing the same racer. The system syncs in real time: when one starts a racer, the other can stop them, and it all updates live to the same leaderboard. - No app required - Works with QR code or link to invite another timer - Add/remove racers on the fly - Works with or without cell service (it should reconcile the data when the phones are back...
