BikeYoke did a limited edition dropper with a silver lower tube, now PNW has taken it up a notch with a silver stanchion as well: https://www.pnwcomponents.com/collections/ltd-dropper-posts/products/th…

"We know our e-bike customers don't care or even know what VPP is so here's a bike that says SANTA CRUZ on it." (Am I too cynical?)

It’s my understanding that this battery being so large and significantly lighter, allows them to integrate the frame design a little better. The current Norco’s are designed where the battery slips out right under the motor. These new ones you have to remove the motor to get to the battery. At 800 MAH, the reasoning is most people won’t want...

If I had to guess, this would be the new Bosch system giving them a hiccup. Information probably wasn’t made available to them by the time they had the 2024 bikes in production. New system uses a completely different battery. 800 MAH for this new Sight, and this bike is supposed to be significantly lighter. Almost 10 pounds lighter than...

i own several bikes, my solution has been an EDC lite on all but my primary trail bike which has the full EDC. i just swap the tool carrier between them, and I really love the fact that oneup sells the carriers individually. i even have one in my DH bike.

I’ve got two bikes. A 130/140 bike built up light for moving fast and a 150/160 for getting rowdy. At this point I have essentially identical tool kits in each bike so I don’t have to think about switching stuff back and forth and forgetting or losing something.

Frame storage tech rumors and innovation… Decent majority of us have never had it, so it’s not a dealbreaker. How many bikes do you guys own? If I only had one, I could understand leaving tools and stuff in there. Reality is I’d rather have all my trail necessities in one pack and not spread around the quiver. Less tools...

Redbull made it very clear that they were not interested in letting Rob out of his contract with them, WB didn't even have the option if they'd wanted it to be fair.

One thing they touched on in the Making up the Numbers podcast I found interesting was WB being of the mind that Rob Warner would turn casual fans away. I’ve made non-bike people sit down and watch a World Cup and they all agree that Rob brings up the engagement for them. (haven’t made them watch post WB takeover ironically) Like Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear, he’s engaging for non-car people. I know this horse has been throughly beaten and I’m generally optimistic about where WB is taking it but stuff like this makes it no mystery why everyone on...

Hey guys, a few people have asked why we took the pod down for a bit over the weekend. Quick explanation… I want to give everyone on the pod a platform to speak candidly. With this episode we were up against it, we only recorded on Friday morning & I knew Singletrack were publishing on Friday evening, so we rushed it out & Jack, Emilie & Joe didn’t get a chance to listen back to it until it was live. On reflection there were a couple of bits where people wished they’d phrased things differently. I was racing at the...
