Primoz, do you mind extrapolating on how you would run the factory bleed (not over filling via bleeding edge), while maintaining a short throw? Or is that counter to what the Swing link is designed for and thus, users would just need to "deal with it"?

We all run different tires and pressures front to back, why not different rims. I think this is the concept that Crank Bros Synth wheels are trying to achieve. Durability, compliance, or pinch flat resistance. Pick 2, and buy an insert. Lol

On the logistics and supply chain side (my industry), I can say with certainty that fuel prices will not impact both air and ocean freight for large freight forwarders, shipping companies, and airlines (only on the cargo side and not the passenger side, mind you) until the holiday shopping season this year. Procurement and Supply Chain Management Tenders for large manufacturers have already been negotiated at least half a year before and that recent fuel price hikes won't take an effect just yet because of pre-orders and fuel hedging. So if a retailer or importer says that fuel prices have...

It’s a great discussion to have, and how cool were those slow mo shots of the rear wheel contorting into a pretzel in the berm? Like you said, I think there are different needs for a front wheel and a rear wheel. Similarly, I’m always surprised when good riders run the same tire pressure front and rear.

This makes so much sense. I've always found it rather insane that wheelsets usually have the same front and rear rim.

Anyone here heard any rumors about a new version of the Scott Ransom? As far ahead of the curve as that bike was in 2018, others have now caught up and the Ransom could do with an update IMO. I just hope they don't go full-on integration like they did with the Spark, Spark RC and Patron. Would also be cool if they made the TwinLoc optional.

Anyone here anything about a mullet Nomad being released by SC in a couple of weeks? I wouldn’t have believed it was true only it’s from a pretty reliable source

But that forward pivot looks a bit too forward to me. I don't think the chainstay would look like that... I'd guess the main pivot would be directly above the link pivot. That would make the MX link harder to implement though (therefore I didn't think about this layout, so kudos on that). I had much uglier ideas about it all 😂

As usual, I took a couple guesses as to what's hiding under the wraps on the Demo prototype. The first pic (Option A) is a true six-bar similar to the DW6 layout, while the second (Option B\) is a four-bar with a sort of MX-style shock linkage around the BB. Option A is extremely progressive, likely far too much so given the current trends away from those sorts of designs, while Option B works very well (in my humble opinion) but doesn't seem to quite line up with the photos we've seen as accurately as Option A. If anything, both...

Crankbrothers make the Highline 3 in 27.2, the KS Lev is also available. FOX have the Transfer SL as well.

I threw the 110mm version of this on my Surly Bridgeclub and transformed my road-ish commuter into a whole new bike, much more capable of hucking curbs and the occasional singletrack adventure. I'm 5'-9" on a medium frame, and although 110mm doesn't sound like much in the modern world of +200mm posts (one of which I happily run on my MTB ), it exceeded my expectations as far as the difference in stability with the post up/down. Also, I haven't ridden the competitors mentioned here in the comments but in my research for 27.2 externally routed posts, the Pine is...

This looks like an awesome option for anyone trying to breath a little life into a bike that otherwise wouldn't fit a dropper post. Curious how many other 27.2 dropper options are out there? I know Thomson used to make a 27.2 dropper and I think X-fusion still makes one, but not sure how many competitors are out there.

It actually does look like the fuel ex-e imo. I didn't recognize it at first since they didn't hide it. Don't know numbers but you are not wrong. What else can I say without saying anything. Hmmm. Mark Maurissen has his already, Kathy Winton just got hers, and Wyn and the rest of the team are about to get theirs. 😎
