with how powerful these new motors are, these newer full-power eebs already felt like the throttle was moved from the grip to the pedals (at least in turbo.). class 1 ebikes were already blowing our doors off on climbing trails, so even if class three ebikes show up with throttles, my experience as an analog rider won't be all that...

I think everyone is overreacting. I have a Bafang Special ebike thats set to a 28 mph limit. On actual trails you never reach the 20mph limit, let alone the 28mph limit. I have yet to hear of a single real case where class 3 ebikes are somehow limiting access. This new drive needs to be compared side to side with the Avinox. Specialized claims to have more torque, and in PB's review he hinted that it was climbing faster, but then never fully committed to reporting on how much. We also need a better way to test range, apples...

Many would argue that’s still way too short for the s5 and s6. My size medium Raaw has 445 chainstays, adjustable up to 450 on a 455 reach.

Can’t believe the new Levo has the same short chainstay length for all sizes in 2025… Was this designed before the Stumpy 15? 🤦

What if... the usd fork we keep rumourin' about it's actually the first 32" production fork (possibly an XC fork)? IIRC there was a photo some time ago of an Intend usd with a 32" wheel, most likely a modified 29" Samurai XC fork.

Hold on, we are discussing if a 2mm difference in rim width is better or worse?

Some of you are taking this out of context - I don't mean a frame should be $300 from the local car shop. I'm saying whatever expertise or warranty allowance involved, it's hard to justify a $1500+ usd steel hardtail frame, especially when there's FS frames AND TI hardtail frames for that price. My carshop example was a bad one I'll admit that. Actually this becomes a question in itself and I'd be happy if y'all can educate me - what makes a steel hardtail worth so much? Just for context - there's a norco optic frame on sale at...

I'm ready to be downvoted, but here's a hot take - I think most of the $1500+ steel HT frames from "boutique" builders are marketing BS. Titanium is hard to weld correctly, so I'll cut some slack for TI stuff. Al needs to be heat treated. But steel? Your local car shop/welder can penetrate weld. No amount of "custom geo" "bespoke" "compliance" "insert new hot word here" is going to make some welded steel tubes that was aligned on a jig be worth that amount of money. Reynold steel tubes cost 30-40 for a downtube/toptube section.Full suspension alignment is a...

I respect your hill but as the owner of a full 29, 29/27.5 mullet, full 27.5, and a 27.5/26 mullet, I can confirm that switching between each brings a whole lot more fun into my life than pigeon-holing myself into only riding wagon wheels. To each their own!

You can make any shock "bottomless" if the graph just never reaches 100%! They also normalised all of the springs at sag, which isn't realistic - the linear can would probably have the least sag and the progressive one the most if you plotted what a rider would actually use.

I know there is a 2 year exclusivity for specialized and fox for the genie. I just can’t remember what they said happens after that. It could be that speci will loop rockshox in at that point, so we could theoretically be seeing or will see a rockshox genie either being tested or going to market. Again, I can’t remember...
