3/31/2025 11:55pm Battery is side loading, so hopefully there'll be no Trek like issues with it. Swat is at the top. 111nm is only for SWorks apparently and the rest are 101. Although it's just a firmware update. ... so I'm reliably informed.

3/31/2025 11:55pm 5000ft vertical in trail mode on my Vala, I don’t want or need to zoom round with 100nm, quite happy with my dialled down 60, still able to put in plenty of effort. E-bikes have predictably become an arms race for power/torque.

3/31/2025 11:55pm If the battery is removable, as it will aparently be the case, a smaller, lighter option should be offered. It's like, options are good, right? Most of my rides are under two hours, a smaller battery is a "cheap" way to save 1kg to 1.5kg...

3/31/2025 11:55pm The 840wh battery just gave a huge middle finger to the recent trend that were pigeon holed into 600wh (looking at you, Vala 👀)

3/31/2025 11:54pm A Domain won‘t exist in a Forbidden + bike looks „wrong“ to say the least. The CS-BB region looks wrong if you know what I mean 😉.

3/31/2025 11:34pm Surely heat from the shock, the energy from bushing friction would be magnitudes less than the energy being absorbed and released as heat by the damper. If Vital review the new Scott DH bike could you please put a thermometer in there on a run.

3/31/2025 11:33pm if you have or know anyone who has a new ransom, feel the shock bolts on the downtube after a run. they're hot.

3/30/2025 8:51pm Air shocks aside, the temp of the shock doesn’t really tell you anything if you don’t know the tune and what it has just done. It’s a simple conservation of energy equation. The heat generated by the damper is the work it has done to absorb impacts.

3/30/2025 8:42pm Coil shocks run at upto 55°c during DH runs, airshocks can run quite a bit hotter depending on the design. Dyno testing shocks you should run a warm up cycle to heat the shock to at least 40°c before measuring the damping as that's close to operating temperature.

3/29/2025 3:28pm Us bike nerds notice when there's a new color bolt on a stem. Someone definitely would have noticed Nino and Filippo winning Cape Epic on 32" wheels. They are easy to spot.

3/29/2025 3:27pm Noideamtber is correct. Also cues is cheap and existing technology, it's not exactly a new design, just a new product to streamline the SKU's. There is no way they're investing all the money to go backwards and offer an expensive wireless drivetrain, with a cassette that isn't even hyperglide+ standard,

3/29/2025 3:26pm Will the Special Ed marketing team take a ban bet on this one? If it isn't something truly revolutionary like, say, a hoverbike, they're not allowed to work in the industry ever again.
