4/19/2025 1:29pm BK says why not have a light frame, not sure the warranty department will agree with him. Seems an odd goal to go for with a modern DH bike, sure make it not a tank, but weight weenies aren't buying DH bikes.

4/19/2025 1:28pm As someone with a front seat on brake mount designs/development for a number of years, there are pros and cons to each mounting method depending on the material and frame design, and the intended customer. Often the intended customer preference outweighs the best possible engineered solution. Shear force loading the caliper bolts is a non-issue in most cycling applications. For a steel frame, the complexity and cost of using either a post mount or direct mount design might go against the simplicity and cost reduction goals of that project. Those customers might prefer something simple, inexpensive, and easy to use...

4/19/2025 1:28pm Rear shock looks a lot like a fast with different anno. Those fork lowers look super familiar too, but I can't place it.

4/19/2025 1:28pm Your URL hackery is weak, son. I have no single idea what the shock could be. Fast? Chickadee? A non-shit x-fusion?

4/4/2025 2:01am I think the protest is simple. Go race and the top 3 don't show up for podium until its swapped back to 5.

4/4/2025 2:01am This is amazing, I hope it can get some traction and create the change it aims for. I’m also hoping they implement that change across all disciplines. From the racer’s perspective, the point about brand exposure and visibility is inarguable. But from my point of view as a fan, I’ve always thought that a three person podium looked a bit dull and I-don’t-know-what-to-do-with-my-hands awkward. 5 person podium looks like a party.

4/4/2025 1:12am Just to add some fuel to the fire, it's long been my opinion that nobody should feel entitled to make a living from sport. If you happen to be very good at a sport that also happens to be very popular, you stand to make a lot of money, and bully for you! But that's not a right. If, however, you're very good at an unpopular sport, just enjoy being good at something. If the sport is also dangerous, you also have a risk/reward equation to balance in your head before competing. But nobody's forcing you to take those risks.

4/4/2025 12:06am "Side entry battery" on the new Levo - Does this mean that it has a removable battery? Would be ideal to me, since those full power e-bikes are just above the weight limit of what my bikerack holds (is probably OK, but dumb to take any chances) - And I store the bikes in a cold shed all winter, and its not very fun bringing an several month unwashed bike indoors to charge it in winter. Removable battery would be perfect for both those reasons

4/3/2025 11:54pm Wireless droppers seem like a huge compromise. Longer overall length for the same drop as the market leading cable posts but the advantage of one less cable. I think I will stick to the cable post thanks.

4/3/2025 11:54pm Why would you trade a 200 OneUp for a 175 mm Reverb? It makes no sense to me that losing 2.5 cm of drop, having a battery I can hit my knees on, and spending $$$ is worth getting rid of a cable.
