I’ve seen it too many times in this thread recently. I’m sorry but grammar matters sometimes. You pedal a bike. Therefore it’s pedaling a bike or pedaling efficiency. Peddle means to travel from place to place selling small goods, or to persistently try to convince people to accept an idea, story, or piece of information. Peddling is the act of trying to sell those goods or ideas. The only thing you’re peddling with an eCVT is the idea that it’s somehow better (or worse) than the other options.

There are definitely some questionable things out there in terms of product manager decisions and some questionable false economy choices (aluminum nipples is a good example). There is also a mild amount of QA/QC and general quality issues still present in this industry... But if I can offer perspective on the journalist comment. " I can't believe some reviewers out there keep stating "there aren't any bad bikes anymore" or "modern geo is pretty good already"..." That's being said because it's pretty much true. 16 years ago, there was a large majority of bikes that were complete shit. Nearly every...

Weight weenieism is alive and well in my group of riding buddies. We bought up all the remaining mechanical XX1 Eagle gear as T-type was taking over. All on Blurs that are under 22lbs. One with a sub 16lb Mondraker Podium. I'm sure this varies by local and riding style, but I think the move by SRAM and Shimano to heavy electronic parts has been a boost to the boutique component market, like Madrone, Garbaruk, Darimo, etc.

Heard recently from reliable sources (Yeti was someone working with them and Atherton was a mechanic)- Yeti is making some revisions and will be releasing what should be next spring. Will have a few minor changes to what we see being raced currently Atherton gearbox will be released as well. Fine tuning some smaller details regarding cable routing, tensioner type stuff, etc. The little details getting sorted and then it should release next year too

New Specialized Enduro will drop early summer of 2027. It will come specced with a genie zeb fork. It will have a Genie vivid air, that is mounted vertically directly in front of the seat tube. The rear layout will look similar to a 2012 era Demo 8, but with a link that comes around the seat tube to the top of the shock.

Attention tech nerds! I'm currently out at Sea Otter Europe, working on the coverage from today, I figured I'd drop this here for you guys - KYB is coming to MTB! The upside-down fork shown here should be available as of November. It's got a few cool features, like the ability to run it in 27 or 29 configuration by sliding the fork legs up and down in the crowns (because the crowns are bolted on)! It's a coil fork, but it also has an air pre-load system in which you can run between 6 to 9 psi of air...

I installed hardwired Di2 on to my Bosch Wild with 11 speed Linkglide. I removed a SRAM 11 speed so the weight gain was significant which in my head bummed me out, although it's the exact same weight as GX T-Type. Imagine my surprise when not only was the gear spread much nicer, not only did I gain a lot of functionality, not only does the Linkglide shift positively and amazing (95% as smooth as T-type, but faster), not only did my running cost go way down and my relaibility went way up, but shockingly my rear suspension instantly got...

"micro dyno" for your race truck or small shop. $6,800 USD. PR below LABA7 Launches MICRO Shock Dyno for Trackside Testing Built for race teams, service trucks, and workshops that could not fit a dyno before. VILNIUS, Lithuania - Racing teams can now test dampers at the track more easily, on a machine that occupies just 0.14 m2. LABA7 launches the MICRO Shock Dyno, a tabletop machine with lab-grade testing quality. It runs from a standard single-phase socket and holds velocity as low as 1 mm/s throughout the cycle. “Until now, a shock dyno meant a room. If teams could...

Can we just cut to the chase and pre-emptively ban Dougal? I thought this place was the last safe haven from his bullshit. The schtick of poo-pooing everything on the planet is old as dirt and he ruins every conversation he butts in on. Doogs, you spend an awful lot of time on forums for someone who claims to be so busy. Go farm downvotes somewhere else.

Commencal quietly dropped the Tempo "V2" with the only revision being they got rid of the headset cable routing. (praise be!)
