Maybe Scott tries to claim that - heating is definitely an issue but 95% of the time the airflow over an "external" shock is enough that they reach an equilibrium and don't normally exceed 40-50 degrees in regular use. Extreme, high speed descents might get a bit hotter but high speed = high air flow so most of the time things balance out. On the dyno though if you run a shock at a speed roughly equivalent to the average energy of a DH run, it will heat at a constant rate and can reach 60 degrees in 3 minutes...

Came across this on Loic’s bike from Les Gets. It looks like the sub-chamber from a push 9.1 modified to fit the Öhlins dh38? I know it’s been rumoured that Loic runs a coil fork, so interesting if he’s play with the sub-chamber on a coil fork now too.

From ESMTB/MTBR - Fox seems to be testing new neo suspension for XC this week. No caliper sensors to be seen, battery placement on the bottom of the leg of the fork. This sounds interesting, especially the last part about Shimano! Maybe I'm just extrapolating from my own preferences here, but I feel that most MTBers who have been in the sport for a while thought the previous-gen Bosch motors were already powerful enough, and that they'd rather have the lightest possible motor + battery package at that power level than even more power and bigger batteries.

I was told no new Enduro until at least 2027, I figured it was going to be a Sea Otter release given most companies wouldn’t want to release a bike in the dead of Winter in the US. Did anyone else working at a Specialized dealer get any “When’s the new Enduro coming out?” stickers? My rep claimed he made them, but I’ve never gotten a single piece of swag from that dude in 10+ years, so it made me skeptical that Specialized was drumming up a very slow marketing campaign. Is WR1 still made in Canada? I recently got a new rim that replaces "made in Canada" with "North American made". Stoked on the actual rim and warranty,but I'd hate to see it move production down to the reich

I said " we haven't seen a long travel single crown 32" fork yet," and I can see how that might have been unclear. What I meant to communicate was "Gee, that black RSU fork sure doesn't look like a Fox 32 or Neko's crazy loctite Fox 40, which are the only 32" Fox forks we've seen so far. I wonder what RSU fork that is. It sure looks like a Fox, and it could even be a dedicated long travel single crown 32" fork from Fox, which would be newsworthy because 32" bikes and products from the big brands...

Nice to see Kona putting out some new stuff - but it really does look like they've lost a sense of industrial design and branding. Im sure a lot of these bikes ride well, and are well priced, but they look like they could be chinese factory catalog bikes. I know, thats my opinion man, but I think Kona could really bring on a proper heritage rebrand with that crazy font and find a way to update their bikes design language. Still goes down as the biggest founder / owner short that I can think of, so good for them!

the PX is $3,400 more than the Remote X, their specs are entirely different, so i wouldn't think the X holds a candle to the PX. the Remote bikes are comparable to the amflow PR on spec/price. on the trail (at least going up the hill) will be an entirely different story, and i fully agree that any brand going against an avinox system right now has a battle on their hands. the only saving grace (for now) is that amflows seem to be basically vaporware. correct me if it's changed, but everything i've read says most april pre-orders still...
