Stack height is my number one concern/doubt/hesitation about the adoption of 32" wheels, because stack height on 29" wheels is already REALLY tall for XC and marathon folks. When you look at the bike fits that pro road and gravel athletes are running, modern XC bikes have extremely tall front ends and upright body positions by comparison. All of the crazy negative rise stems we see on pro XC bikes are really just bandaid solutions to hide the fact that 29ers forks and front wheels are tall AF for most of the elite XC field. We tested Crankbrothers new Synthesis Enduro Alloy 2.0 wheels that launched today and were super impressed by how stout and durable they were. I think this discussion ignores the aspects of different mentalities, legal frameworks and population density from country to country. If you've ridden motos all your life in some woods in north america nobody would give a shit because its not densly populated and people are used to it. Now do that in central europe in some tourist region and you'll immediately get in trouble. The actual enforment is another issue. Usually if stuff flies under the radar there won't be serious enforcment. But in many places over europe there is. There is no chance for any of this in parts...

You are 110% correct. The lil company that could, for sure, but needed deeper pockets to really reach their limits. I'm just stoked they didn't succumb to the PE buyout that has plagued many an industry the last 20 odd years. Having someone with the smarts, passion, and especially capital to help both brands grow sounds like a game winner to me. (And not all us Yanks share in your sense of all of our overt 'patriotism'. Read the interview and understand the reasoning. My (slight) disappointment has nothing to do with the current political stuff. I'd be sad to see a Canadian company fall under outside ownership, regardless of what's happening on the international stage. Also, Tim Hortons is garbage coffee and has always been garbage coffee. Support local roasters who work with and buy from small farms. Quality > quantity for bikes and for coffee. Lol.
