I know I'm late to this party, but the difference between a 650b front wheel and a 29" front wheel is enormous in terms of stack height. The same head tube length will be 40 mm lower on a 650b front wheel and 650b specific fork. Especially in a world where manufacturers are already running teeny tiny head tubes (90mm!!) on some size small bikes to get that stack down for small riders, a 650b front wheel makes a big difference in getting small bike geometry and extra large bike geometry into the same ballpark of body position and handling.

Mech transmission will be offered in a 1230 series and 1275 series. Essentially offering a GX equivalent and below. Shimano has been killing SRAM on the low end market. 5,6 and 7 series Shimano is so much better than NX and SX.

I've ridden them all and currently on a Dorado Pro. My son rode his all last season and after some setup work and tuning, got to a place where it reallllly runs well on his Jedi. Convinced me to swap out my 40 with tuned RC2 damper swap and Vorsprung Secus which was quite good. IRT and main spring pressure setup is most time consuming. From what we've found, similar to the older Dorado - it seems best well rounded at roughly ~1.8:1 - 1.9:1 pressure ratio (IRT to main) depending on ramp up requirements. Slightly higher IRT will help...

Perhaps I'm naive (or just spend too much time here) but not having an X0-level mechanical Transmission ofering seems like a miss; existing NX/SX bits are such poor quality that I feel like it'll turn people off (and misses the market segment that wants high-quality mechanical shifting, or pushes them to Shimano).

If the niche for 32" wheels is people over 6'6" tall, it's hard to make a business case for making them. If the niche for 26" wheels is people under 5'6" tall, that's much easier to justify because not only are there grown adults under 5'6" tall, every adult who is over 5'6", was at some time under 5'6".

While I'm here. Is it rude to spread my own rumors? Yesterday I released v2 Digit frames. I don't have a marketing plan so for now I've just posted a list of improvements here: digitbikes.com/blog/changeblog. I'm also going to start selling a frame-only option, and an aluminum wheel build.

Kavenz give you that ability with the VHP frame. everything from 120 to 180mm in the rear. And supposedly 140 to 200mm in the front. I`ve tried everything from 160F/120R to 180F/180R and its awesome. The only problem is that you always ride like your on a big bike.

Regarding the position of the STFU: A length of material spanning a distance at tension will have a resonant frequency. Cutting it right in half with something that would contact the material can cause it to resonate faster at the same velocity on both sides of that contact because that contact essentially creates a point around which the whipping motion can pivot. Guitar strings do it. Wires stretched across distance at tension do it. There are multiple potential resonant frequencies along the length of the material and creating a pivot by limiting motion at one point can cause that material...

Some really cool stuff on this frame. Nice refinements! I've estimated a 19-20% leverage ratio in that configuration. It seems like the old leverage, but my estimate is that it goes degressive towards the bottom out(the last 20mm). This could be useful with the hydro bottom out on Rockshox. The axle path in his current config goes rear about 7mm to 100mm of travel, then forward 8mm more than its starting point. The pedal kick is negative. If I "flipchip" the main pivot and raise it, the axle path goes reward about 10.5mm and then forward past its starting point...

Garbaruk posted on instagram that they have a new product announcing tomorrow, but a guy that I believe is sponsored by garabaruk seems to have pulled the trigger on his post early. Seems like Garbaruk is launching their own wheelsets, hubs, and spokes. Looks like some nice pieces, and it also seems like they have done a spoke very similar to industry nines "system" spokes. Lets just hope they dont charge like €3k+ for a set, which is what a I9 System carbon wheelset with multiple colors costs here in europe. Post says "reasonable pricing" - Who knows what that...

When can we accept that sizing is a choice and a preference. Just because he’s a certain height doesn’t mean he should be forced to follow the size chart. If you prefer a shorter frame thats great for you, and vice versa, but the under breath criticism of anyone that chooses otherwise is tired.

I have it in combination with a dorado (not the carbon one) so in theory a super heavy front end. The first two runs I felt it being a bit heavier, but after that you‘re used to it. But honestly there has never been a moment where I felt like it‘s too heavy to do whatever, the bike is like 19 kg+ so that‘s heavy as a whole. It‘s rather extreme that, if I take the Tmd off now, the bike actually feels terrible in comparison and I‘m wondering how I could ride it before😅
