I've honestly been pretty thrilled with my Hope Evo GR4 brakes. Paired with the Galfer ebike pads and TRP RS05E 2.3mm rotors and offer tons of stopping power and lots of modulation. I'm about 205-210lb geared up and they have no problem stopping my fat ass on my ebike. Once I get my dh bike back together I'm gonna pair the new Lewis AX lever with the maven caliper and see if that offers a little more stopping power. Don't see a reason to go back to the stock maven lever at this point, maybe they'd be improved with that...

As a former teenage manitou fanboi, I keep hoping that I will see their stuff on more team bikes. It’s been great seeing Aeon running their stuff either way

I'm not saying that isn't a Manitou coil shock but the spring retention piece is very similar/same as a Vorsprung Telum: I'm fortunate enough to have a Telum and walked out to my garage to verify the shape as my first impression seeing the photo of that shock was 'that looks familiar'. You could say I was...bites knuckle...shocked. Not sure why Manitou hasn't made a coil shock in ages though so intrigued if it is a Manitou for sure.

Been discussed here before, I think, but the coil shock on the Gamux bike is visible here. Manitou got anything to chim in on this?

There was a rumor about new spesh tires with radial casing… someone said they will be presented 3rd of march. Does somebody have any news?

They were out filming promotional stuff at my local a few weeks ago so assuming they’ll be released pretty soon.

Photos from some testing recently. Made some rotor guards on my 3d printer, going to make the new ones BYB released recently once I get more black filament.

I have found hopes to be insanely sensitive to centering on the rotor, and also come with quite stiff seals sometimes. Make sure they are bang on center in every axis, then As stravapocalypse said, do a piston massage where you work every piston in and out individually. Otherwise follow their new comprehensive brake tech book to a T. Unfortunately I find their advice to use silicone lube on the pistons to be bad. For a while, half the people I rode with were on one Forbidden model or another, and honestly, those frames have some of the worst QC and overall design execution I’ve seen in that price range. Unless it’s the bike’s very first ride, they creek like crazy, and the suspension pivot hardware is borderline laughable. Heard on a podcast Jesse Melamed talk about helping out a local company, I'm pretty sure he rides on RMU skis. He talked about how it ended up on the vital forum so more fuel to the fire. Now here's hoping Dave W let's them have some longer chainstays.
