I've seen a report (I think it was on BRAIN) that some companies are putting out multiple orders to different vendors and just waiting to see who delivers first. so I think there is some artificial inflation to the lead times...

5/4/2021 1:00pm did BMX freecoasters ever become more reliable? i had a KHE geisha grenade on me and gave up on them. that being said, i think they are very cool pieces of engineering, however the riding population they appeal to is pretty limited.

I hope to see a full women’s roster. Having only one woman in the mix is lame. Veronique Sandler’s edit was rad, would love to have seen Casey Brown, Hannah. Bergman, Samantha Soriano, Makayla Gator, Vaca Verbeek, and a bunch of other rippers!

5/4/2021 10:17am I believe it. Given the complexity of the supply chain, labor & shipping restrictions, etc that's very believable. I was listening to a podcast last week, it sounded like some companies are increasing their order sizes in response to the long lead times, which would in turn serve to further increase the lead times.

Could have been... The way it read out to me was Specialized told Kate early on that she wasn't getting a new contract... So, she was already shopping before she won the worlds.. That win had to up her asking price and made Specialized look bad by not keeping her... It would have been good of Trek to let Katy know ASAP that they planned on not offering her a new deal..

I’d highly question if ft bill has anything to gain by holding a spectatorless event. Probably simply too many headaches and issues between government and uci to make the event go without the influx of cash to local economy.

3/15/2021 8:45am agreed. very easy to turn out a new set of internals and fit it to the existing chassis. tooling for the cast lowers has a longer leader time and higher cost, so those probably won't be seen until its nearly production ready.
