Yeah but bike racing is the best sport and the only one that bike racers compete in. Unlike most sports, bicycle racing is a Life Sport. There’s formal competition from 7 expert in bmx into the 80+ field in pretty much every discipline of bike racing. Unlike most sports it’s possible to continue riding bikes post-racing, by yourself in whatever free time you can find. The etiquette piece might be my single biggest grievance from the ebike crowd. I'm a big guy and climbing is not my strength, so I have PLENTY of experience with being passed on the uptrails by both regular and ebike riders. The ebike riders are exponentially worse at saying excuse me, on your left, or simply making some noise to let you know they're behind you. The suffering is 75% of why i ride, emtb can't give me that. For practical reasons eebs are good.

There is something to be said for our ability to suck up the high tension drag caused by idlers on high pivot designs but bemoan the low tension drag on chain guides. Been thinking of revisiting a guide just to see how the new leaving angle of the chain from guide to the derailleur affects cage movement during suspension cycling.

Haha, yeah that was me! I saw it again two weeks ago, it was full of telemetry devices this time. I asked when it was coming out and the guy tried to tell me it was a Pivot this time 'round. Can't imagine how it doesn't get released later this summer/fall as a '27 model considering how tidy it currently looks and the fact they are riding it at high noon on the most popular trail network in the Golden. Might need to just post up in the bushes with a camera next time...
