I don't buy Ford because of the Michigan Supreme Court's decision in the 1919 case Dodge v. Ford Motor Company.

I've got that same feeling with my Reeb SST, It's gonna stay with me a for a very long time. I'll probably need to get repainted a few times in it's lifetime. But, my 5yo has already said that he wants it when he gets older haha.

An absolutely brutal read to slog through. Sorry! What I meant to say was that the subject matter of Orbea's deep dive failed to fully resonate with the intended audience, yielding a suboptimal reading experience, and failing to deliver a holistic win-win for big-picture strategic partners in the greater bike industry ecosystem.

I love that it's Neko Mulally doing this. Nobody else would get out alive.

I'd be interested to know what lead them down the path to the drive system they ended up with. Was the suspension design and resulting packaging the chicken or the egg. Related to the first question, did they work their way into the idler placement bit by bit with minor refinements or were they targeting a specific location and then some of the other ideas fell into line as solutions from there (like the cog on the crank spindle). Also related, was this the core or one of the core ideas of the design of the new demo or was...

i've been happy with my FR560s here in the mid atlantic. unfortunately those are only available in 26" anymore. I just picked up a 541 to lace, will report back. not crazy that it uses nipple washers instead of eyelets and requires the squorx nipples, but at least both were included with the rim (although the squorx nipples provided are...

Thank you all for the interest in our bikes and in our distribution / sales model. To give you a bit of context, we’re currently a team of 9 people at RAAW, based in Germany, and we ship worldwide directly from here. The US has actually grown into our biggest market after Germany, which is pretty wild considering that every RAAW in the US has been shipped individually from Germany. Our goal is, of course, to make the ordering process and ownership experience as easy as possible. Having stock in the US would be ideal, but that comes with a...

The 8-hour training actually makes perfect sense if you think about it. If you’re going to force a 12-year-old to commute electrically assisted/throttled in a 6-inch painted gutter next to 5,000lb distracted SUVs going 50mph, they probably need Stroad-warrior level tactical training. Why build a protected bike path for $1M when you can just blame the kids for not having a Ebike Safety Certificate while they dodge F-150s?

You are not wrong. If People For Bikes spent 1/4 as much advocating for safe routes to school as they did lobbying for Ebike access in skeptical communities, the shrinking American bicycle market might be expanding. Instead we seem laser focused on selling stuff to the same 10% of the population over and over again, each time with an extra battery or two.

I think you meant “kind of FUN geometry”. As a person who gets more than 100 bike park days a year, this is way more in line with how parkrats of all ages enjoy riding… ymmv
