one of my big takeaways on this is the discrepancy on payouts re: road vs mtb, and that its time to start correcting this.

The article asks if the purse strings are too tight event promoters pay the riders-not really sure the question was answered here, but, I think you need someone with the insights from UCI and key race promoters to chime in on what it takes to get a top tier series/race off the ground-it's not just some course tape and a timing system.....and lets not forget about what it costs to stream this LIVE all over the f-ing world! (Redbull World Cup DH, Crankworx, Redbull Rampage). Your UCI margin number doesnt get into the weeds of MTB specific finances either-I don't...

always great to hear from Frank. one of the friendliest people I've ever met from the MTB community. The first time I ever met Frank was in the plattekill parking lot, probably '05 or '06, me and some buddies had uh, obtained, some logs from the woods after riding to make a bonfire but were only splitting with an ax. This sorta crunchy lookin dude comes over asks if we need a hand, and produces a chainsaw that looked like it could have been used in a horror movie from his van. Turned out to be Frank. Good times.

yea, i'm sure more companies will begin offering microspline freehubs, i wasn't sure if that was the case here or not (since at that time of announcement only Shimano and DT swiss were offering it).

article mentioned aftermarket wheels.... are we to assume the companies listed will be offering microspline hubs? or where they just their rims laced to the shimano or dt swiss hubs?

it mentioned that XT / SLX are being prioritized for the next big release, any mention of updates to Saint? all of these groups (XTR, XT, SLX) have had a major update since the last Saint update (for XTR this is actually the second update since Saint M820, which IIRC was 2012).
