Difficult to scale ignorance. I imagine culture has quite a bit to do with just how poorly he’s going to come across in the us. He seems like a super genuine and good natured dude. His apology seemed real. Not the first and won’t be the last pro to do something dumb on the gram or at an event. As a kid from the suburbs probably 1/2 my fifth grade class had a haircut or outfit straight out of a rap video. I assume his mimicry is out of fandom as well, but it is wildly tone deaf in 2021.

I was a track marshal on this exact section for the 2019 DH WC race and in qualifying, when it rained I had to witness many people crash, broken wrists, clavicles and so on. I’m glad they reworked it for this years Champs because it really sucked to see so many guys go down. To have a technical track is one thing but to have a dangerous one is another one and the line is very thin.

Mine it the opposite, slow grower, just turned 11 and 24 is still perfect, he's been on it since 2019. Now it's time to start the transition to bigger wheels. We have old 26 bikes and small 27.5's that we can put 26. Just did a Bham trip and kids smaller than him are on xs 27.5 scouts. The thing about smaller wheels though is it's been good for learning how to work for your speed. He's not big on pedaling up or down and loves steep tech and big air (and chairlifts). Would like to see more grom content...
